RL happenings, yay. See how I alternate the things I LJ-cut, ooo.. )

Then we all went to Pizza Hut, even Jack. It was yum, if a bit confusing and expensive. My tongue bled for no particular reason. The coke tasted funny, so I think perhaps there was bleach in it. Hmm. Perhaps overdramaticness again.

I have an urge to write [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifestos. Because clearly hardly anyone has yet seen the glory of Violet/The Hook-handed Man. Or Tim/Duane. Or Dr/Mickey. Hmm.

On a final fannish note, I am starting to understand wild crossover-love. Because clearly Lindsey and Draco should do sex. They would be all 'we are both evil and rich, ahahaha', but secretly Lindsey would be 'but you were rich before me, you little bastard', and there would be angst and pretty hair and it would be magic!

Also, there should be more Lindsey Mpreg. Because the firm would be all 'here is your demonic maternity leave then', and Lindsey would be all 'wtf?!'. And Angel would be following him around more and upset about him drinking scotch, and Lindsey would be all 'I'm not going to stop working!'. And I would die, happy.

Also, Crazy by Tori Amos is perhaps the best angsty Lindsey/Angel song there ever was. If I knew how to upload music files, I would so upload the music file. Because; 'he said, first let's just unzip your religion..down..'. Dude.

I went to the library and rented CDs, yay. They had to change my card, because they'd had a different system in place for two years. Um. I have not been a devoted library-goer. Whoops.

I had forgotten the library had books. And you didn't have to pay to read them. Just put up with the plastic and the smell. Hmm.

Anyway. Got new Nick Cave, No more shall we part. Am reserving judgement as yet. I hardly ever love things straight away. But new Tori Amos, eeee!!...

I bought Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Yes. Peer pressure, and the pretty fanfic, and the pretty (though rare) new adult covers got to me. Shame. Also I could get the hardback copy in Tesco's for £8, which is fairly 'score!'.Spoilers (I get to say that now yay!) )

Has anyone else heard of a new film coming out called Night Watch? My film magazines have been talking for ages about how it is fantabulous and broke all box office records in its native Russia. It is about vampires, and apparently very Matrix-like. I am intrigued. But they do not say when it is coming out. Hmph. >:(

The American Gothic DVDs are coming out! Hopefully! Hopefully soon! Hopefully on Region 2 aswell!

::is beginning to see that the DVDs getting released was only half the battle. Oh dear::

Anyway. Haven't read any more of Harry Potter. Haven't got a job :( But I have watched the first two episodes ever of Angel! And it's really fun because I didn't really watch it the first time around, so I really don't know what's going to happen. Yay!

Some things:

  • Angel really is quite adorable. Goddamnit.

  • They all are. Goddamnit.

  • Eeee, Lindsey is so pretty! Though his hair is clearly too short. And he is too evil. Soon conflict will come. And obsession with Angel

  • I am trying to decide when is the best (i.e. worst) time in his career for him to become pregnant with Angel's child. Hmm

  • I sort of want to go to the bar in Lonely Hearts. Not because I want to meet anybody. Just because...pretty colours...

  • I love this bit of conversation:

Doyle: "You need to come out!"
    Angel: "Why?"
Doyle: "Because we deserve one night of fun!"

The wrong way to take things is the best way to take things, hurrah!

Thanks to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] jekesta and the lovely Yousendit, I can upload music files, yay! Hence, I present you with Crazy, clearly the theme tune of Angel/Lindsey angst.

Also, here is Baker, Baker, also by Tori Amos, which is equally clearly the theme tune of Rose/Mickey. If such a ship even exists. Bonus points for anyone who can quote all the lines to me which prove my crazy theory to be true.

I love Tori Amos.

I will close by saying that looking after a baby is just the most stressful thing in the world - ever. And I don't just mean the constant feeding, cleaning, changing, checking on and entertaining. I mean the fact that you worry that everything you do - and everything that happens - will somehow damage him. You kissed baby on the nose? You've given him a disease of some horrible kind. Baby bumped his head? That's brain damage. Baby got cold? That's pneumonia!!

Not that I would give any of it up for the world, of course ::is kind of scarily helpless in love for him ah well::
