Further notes on Pacific Rim:
- Stacker Pentecost is an amazing name, but slightly less impressive if you (vaguely) knew a man in real life called Lazarus Baptiste. He was a computer engineer. The computer engineer you would probably want turning up if the world was ending.
- I get that Mako and Raleigh were the main characters, and the canonical semi-romantic couple. But Mako is a kind of shark, and Raleigh is a kind of bike, so if you say you want Mako/Raleigh you're just saying you want shark-bike in funny language, and I never stop being confused by it.
