Hello! I went to my parents'. I saw my nephews. They are both great.

A few things:

  • I am very happy that Rachel won Big Brother. Very very happy. This is not just because she is called Rachel, I think. It was slightly enhanced by the fact that she wore a lovely red dress for the finale.

  • I saw an epsiode of Malcolm in the Middle where Lois said to Francis that she hadn't been a good enough mother to him, and it made her really sad that he didn't have the mother he deserved, and and he was quite happy, but he didn't feel any better, and it was everything he'd ever been hoping she'd say, and it didn't make him feel any better, and he started hyperventilating, and Lois ended up offering him some money from from her purse, and he took everything she had except what she needed for a bus fare, and he asked for her tic-tacs as well, and I love him, and I love her, and I want Spangler back, Francis should only be with people who aren't quite good enough to him, oh God, oh God, I love them. They should all have to fight monsters together.

  • Currently on Emmerdale Carl King is torn between his head and his heart. I'm enjoying Emmerdale quite a lot at the moment.

  • So I have a bit of money at the moment. Enough to buy that CD I've been talking about. How to people feel about buying stuff over the internet from small sites though? I know https: is meant to be a good sign, but I'm not sure what else to be wary of.

It will be September soon. I'm going to have to start properly planning for going back to uni. Beginning with borrowing £900 from dad for my first rent payment in, ooh, a week. And call my housemates to see when they're going back. It's a bit complicated by the fact that we still don't know whether we're having a holiday or not. The general feeling is that dad doesn't want to go anywhere with my sister, and mum doesn't really want to leave her at home, so she can keep an eye on her more or less. My sister seems to be assuming she's coming, and even suggesting 'why don't we go to a proper big complex, with a gym, near a beach!', but if we're going to go somewhere she's not interested in she won't bother. And I get the feeling any holiday will be more stress than joy whether she comes or not, and would sort of like to scrap the whole idea and just get ready for uni and Connotations. Sigh.

I'm about to watch Sea of Souls again. I will probably be awfully squeey by the end of the evening, and saddened again that no-one else knows the glory of it. Seriously, if anyone is going to be at Connotations with me, do NOT trust me when I say anything like 'oh it's in my room, just come up for a minute', because I am going to kidnap you. I will lock the door, swallow the key and force you to watch Sea of Souls until you too see the beauty of it. Probably I should just pimp it in one of the pimp slots. But that would involve people watching me. With their EYES.

In other news:

  • This might just be the greatest movie ever. Ever.

  • According to someone on a MITM messageboard, Francis can play the piano. This makes me more fluttery than it really should.

  • People are squeeing about the Brothers Grimm movie and I cannot see it until December 30 :(

Reviewing my poll, it is clear that you are all ethically challenged, and think I'm crazy. Hence, I am leaving Livejournal forever!

In a while.

This morning I was watched the episode of Malcolm in the Middle (thank you Sky One!) where Francis is hitchhiking to Alaska unsuccessfully in the freezing cold, and when he finally gets a ride the truck driver points out that he pretty much HAS to do whatever the driver tells him, or he'll have to go back out hitchhiking again.

Why isn't there more slash for this fandom? ::shakes head omg::

Fannish waffling )

Fannishness aside, I worked at the Charity Shop again for a few hours. And I've learned I hate customers. Deeply. Why can they not put clothes back where they find them? The right way around? And, y'know, ON the hangers. I mean, it's not like there are sharks in the way, is it? It's not like they have to make a choice between putting the clothes back properly or saving a loved one in peril. I might make a list of 10 Things, like Jekesta. And put it up in the shop.

Growl. I think I'm channelling Bernard Black a bit. Hurrah!
