Ode to a new umbrella...

Bought a new umbrella today! :D

Mother and I were going to go to Leeds. Rain prevented us. However, mother still wanted to go into town for food for the weekend. And I knew. I sensed it was time. I accompanied her on the car ride, down to the Post Office to do some car insurance thing, and back into town, both crouched under my piddly little umbrella of nothing, getting wet. Then we came unto Boots. And it was there. And I bought it. A good five months after I saw it, I bought it. It was mine.

jekesta claims she has the prettiest umbrella in the world. I won't say she is a liar. She is just wrong. My umbrella is black. On the outside. Inside it is very very pink. Its handle is black, leather (possibly), with very very pink stitching in the creases. It does not retract. It is a walker. You can walk with it. There is a button you press and it blossoms like a flower, and when it opens it is like a huge pink tent. Mother and I both stood under it in the middle of the high street while she made a phonecall for five minutes, and neither of us got at all wet, or particularly noticed the rain. It has a little band and piece of velcro to close it up, and it always always looks beautiful all closed up. It cost me £22. It is a bitch to carry around for a long time closed up. I glove it.

I would post pictures, but perhaps that is going too far. I glove it. It is my newest friend, and perhaps my best. I love it. It is pink. Yes.

And hurrah for the IRA laying down their arms! Officially! We have one less set of terrorists to worry about, hurrah!
