Heroes!

I've just watched the first two episodes of Heroes. It's weirdly badly written, and I was going to say interesting (ETA: I was going to say just interesting), but OH GOD THE ENDING OF EPISODE TWO. OH GOD. I might have to watch all of this now. I'm mostly thinking that the guy in the glasses/the cheerleader's father is Sylar, but it annoys me that I can't work it out. Well, all in good time I guess. Dude.

And has anyone else heard about Lost? Apparently they're intending to finish it, for good, in three seasons. It was going to be two (at least), but now they've decided on three at 16 episodes each, instead of two at 24. So 2010 is meant to be the big finale. Huh.

And Violet/The Hook-Handed Man is great! Hurrah.

Yeah, they mentioned that in the article. Probably it will be a good thing. I think waiting longer for a vaguely wrapped up season is better than a however-month long cliffhanger. I think I prefer shorter American seasons anyway, like Deadwood.

Yes, this was pretty much my verdict. There was a bit, a bit after Mohinder and the girl next door had heard the tape about how his father had helped someone become a murderer, and then she just finds the lizard and is like 'Dude! Mohinder, meet Mohinder! Aren't you a precious little lizard?' and it's like 'What?'. THAT'S ANOTHER VERDICT. Nathan is the older one, yes? He does seem a lot less emo than his little brother. And Hiro is lovely, and I sort of like the cheerleader, and the reflection woman seems quite interesting. I'm waiting to see what Sylar's like, mostly. HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE SOME GOOD.

OH GOD I HATE MOHINDER'S GIRL PERSON I HATE HER WITH STABBING MOTIONS. Um. It's very sad that it is written badly, I think a lot of people hung around because the basic idea is quite good and some of the individual characters are shiny. Mostly I like that when the two dudes are talking Japanese the subtitles are beautifully placed and not just along the bottom of the screen. I forgave Heroes a lot for this. Also because when Dutchess and I were watching it we watched an episode of Torchwood in the middle and suddenly the dialogue ALMOST SEEMED TO SPARKLE IN COMPARISON.

Nathan is very much the older one. He deserves a better younger brother to be in love, much like Dean.

Oh, they do that in Night Watch! That subtitle thing. I possibly have to show you that. It's about magicians and vampires in Moscow. And they have letters be big when they are loud, and crackly when they are angry. It's quite good. I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW IT WOULD BE BETTER COMPARED TO TORCHWOOD.

Perhaps a crossover where Dean is his little brother?

You have no iDEA how much time people spend crossing over so that Peter and Sam are together and BORING ME SILLY and they just ignore the REALLY HOT AND BEAUTIFUL OLDER BROTHERS and I HATE FANDOM SOMETIMES, RACHAEL, I TRULY DO.

Oh, I do not remember the subtitles in Nightwatch. Did I not mention having seen Nightwatch? YOU SHOULD NOT HATE ME, SOMETIMES I FORGET TO SAY THIS. It was rather good. I have not read it, though, so I feel a bit wrongly.

If you could just tell me everything you ever did ever, that would be fine. Have you seen Eerie, Indiana? I had a vague thought you might like it, but I probably don't have to show it to you. I only read the Night Watch book in January. I think I prefer it to the film, but the film does have a slightly different storyline. The book's chock full of gay though. That's quite nice.

You know I still love Sam! And I did like Peter better, but then he threatened to kill himself to make his brother talk to him, and that was a bit rubbish. And his brother flew up to catch him. That was quite beautiful. It does seem quite rubbish that fandom would crossover over those two and not the others though. Especially considering how many people love Dean. Bad form, fandom.

I have seen vague bits of Eerie, Indiana, but not all of it or enough to know if I like it or anything yes. I have been meaning to see it. Good.

I've been meaning to read the books, because they do look very good. I'm waiting until they're all out, though, unless they are and I just didnt' notice. I'm not very good.

IT'S SO WEIRD WITH THE CROSSOVERS. Because EVERYONE loves Dean and EVERYONE mostly loves Nathan unless they don't have a soul, but EVERYONE crosses over the other two. Sometimes they cross Nathan with Lex and THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY OH GOD SO HAPPY. But yes. Dean/Nathan doesn't make huge sense, I think is the trouble, mostly they can only bond over having not very good brothers (sorry). But the pretty! you'd think fandom would give in to it just for the pretty. Bad form indeed.

I will send you the DVDs if you ever want to see it. The last 'Night Watch' book is out in July - I'm pretty sure that's the last in the series - but they're not really the kind of books that leaves you hanging, if that's what you were worried about. Or at least the one I read wasn't. I should really get around to reading the second at some point. YOU KNOW I'M USUALLY GOOD WITH THINGS LIKE THAT.

They have fighting evil in common. I assume Nathan eventually fights evil. Probably I should wait till I have watched more of each thing before I have opinions on it. Hm.

I'm just not very good at reading books if there is more of them to come and it isn't out. I have just done it with Song of Ice and Fire and it is a BAD PLAN and yes. Mostly I like to read them all at once.

I will add Eerie Indiana to my list of things to watch. I am about to embark on the invisible man because Tiniago told me to SEVERAL FOREVERS AGO.

I LOVE NATHAN I LOVE HIM. He was Profit, you know, he slept naked in a box and had computer images of people he hated and he exploded them when he'd dealt with them in rl.
