Hello. I have been busy this weekend. I have been screencapping. I'm still working on this picspams/pimping idea, and it's a good thing I didn't try to do one every day, because it's taken me two and a half days just to screencap one hour and a half long film. It's very difficult when both your main characters are very attractive and it's an action film and a it's a thriller so everything feels relevant to the plot. According to the folder I created, I took 3,917 screencaps. I PROBABLY WON'T BE POSTING THAT MANY, IF I DO DO THE PICSPAM EVENTUALLY. I'm assuming a lot of them are copies of each other, because I couldn't remember if I'd screencapped things or not. I'm hoping, anyway.

It's New Town Killers I've been screencapping, and basically now, after screencapping it for two and a half days, I'm really ready to get on the internet and read a bunch of New Town Killers fic. Except there isn't any. Damn it.

Anyway. Here's a thing you were going to get on Friday night, except that it turns out sharks are so great, a dvd of them kind of broke my laptop's CD-ROM drive briefly, and then I was busy screencapping New Town Killers. But here it is now:

Sharks = A-OK

Note: I wouldn't try this with a Great White, Tiger Shark or Bull Shark though.

Anyway. Another thing I didn't mention on Friday was that I was out most of the evening seeing a pantomime with my sister, mum and two nephews. It was quite good for a local pantomime, except for the frequent racist humour (as it was set in Peking), which was even MORE uncomfortable since their was an East Asian family sat just in front of us. But it was still quite good, and my nephews enjoyed it. My youngest nephew cried in the first half actually, because my sister came in late and so they had to rush in when the lights were off and it was already going and he wasn't used to it, I think. But in the interval he got a drink and his brother got some crisps and he got a choc ice, and in the second half he was enjoying it a lot more. So it was a pretty good evening, in the end.

But my main point, which I forgot on Friday night, was that because I was out at the pantomime, I missed the Coronation Street with David and Gary's 'night out' in it. And I had to run down at about half past one, when my parents had gone to bed, to see it. IT WAS WELL WORTH SEEING THOUGH. Oh my God. I love how David and Gary hardly ever talk to each other really, but then when the writers do decide they should be in scenes together they act like the best of friends. Also because, this is mostly just a theory of mine, but David seems to have a thing where he no almost no longer minds physical violence or people getting up close to him to try to threaten him, but people getting up close out of friendship or emotion is something he seems a lot more wary of. It's a thing that seemed to be happening with Nathan Wylde on Emmerdale as well, and it was just as great there. But he and Gary are grabbing each other, standing right next to each other, slapping each other on the chest, and David doesn't even seem to care. Or Gary. It's quite great.

Anyway. Some kind person has uploaded the episode, as they seem to be doing for all Coronation Street episodes, on Youtube. There were two episodes, and they have lumped it together as three videos, and Part 1 has all the stuff that happened to Gary before the night out, but the first one with David and Gary together is here, with their scenes at 8.54 and 14.03, and Part 3 is here, and their scene is at 9.45, and Gary's last scene is at 12.00.

Internet went a bit mad again last night. I don't know what happened, really. Apparently it just stopped connecting at some point yesterday when my sister tried to go on, which upset her for most of the night, because she couldn't get to her MSN and messageboards. I assumed dad had fixed it last night when he went to bed early, so tried this morning, and yay, working! But sister was all 'I didn't know, I've been waiting since yesterday, I'm going out later (she didn't), omg'. So ten seconds later, I gave it up to her for, what turned out to be 5 hours. Sigh. Okay, angst )

But anyway. Back now, hurrah! Did not work yesterday. Or today. Went back into an employment agency I registered for ages ago though, to say I'd talked to someone else who was using them and they said they'd made them take a typing test, why didn't I take a typing test, can I take a typing test? They said the machine must have been down then - I still did not take a typing test. They said something about a possible job today of tedium and photocopying, but I haven't heard anything so far. The funds are down, and I really need to start putting something away for September (you know, for uni registration, new house stuff, TV licenses, Internet subscriptions, Connotations, yadda yadda yadda...). I can't go to Canterbury this weekend for my housemate's poetry exhibition - fare is £85 from Leeds, and I just don't have it. And it turns out it's at least £66 from Nottingham to Newcastle, so I've got to start saving for that too. No more DVDs for a while :(

But I did go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night! With my sister. Semi-angst. I am sorry. ). There was no trailer for Corpse Bride, as I had hoped, or for Goblet of Fire, as I had hoped. Sister did almost choke on her coke at the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants trailer though, which was amusing :)

Thoughts on the film )

And, I have been writing. Writing fic. Malcolm in the Middle, Francis/Spangler. Not porn, or explicitness, or even sexualness just yet. But fic. I'm quite pleased, but slightly afraid that it won't last. Will just have to keep writing I guess :) I even have a small piece finished, and it's funny, but I didn't want to post it. As though it would somehow jinx my writing spell. But I'm in the middle of a slightly longer piece at the moment, and have other ideas, so I'm going to post and not think about it. Yes. In a new post.
