Jan. 24th, 2011 12:36 amHello. I have been busy this weekend. I have been screencapping. I'm still working on this picspams/pimping idea, and it's a good thing I didn't try to do one every day, because it's taken me two and a half days just to screencap one hour and a half long film. It's very difficult when both your main characters are very attractive and it's an action film and a it's a thriller so everything feels relevant to the plot. According to the folder I created, I took 3,917 screencaps. I PROBABLY WON'T BE POSTING THAT MANY, IF I DO DO THE PICSPAM EVENTUALLY. I'm assuming a lot of them are copies of each other, because I couldn't remember if I'd screencapped things or not. I'm hoping, anyway.
It's New Town Killers I've been screencapping, and basically now, after screencapping it for two and a half days, I'm really ready to get on the internet and read a bunch of New Town Killers fic. Except there isn't any. Damn it.
Anyway. Here's a thing you were going to get on Friday night, except that it turns out sharks are so great, a dvd of them kind of broke my laptop's CD-ROM drive briefly, and then I was busy screencapping New Town Killers. But here it is now:

Picture from Sharkwater
Sharks = A-OK
Note: I wouldn't try this with a Great White, Tiger Shark or Bull Shark though.
Anyway. Another thing I didn't mention on Friday was that I was out most of the evening seeing a pantomime with my sister, mum and two nephews. It was quite good for a local pantomime, except for the frequent racist humour (as it was set in Peking), which was even MORE uncomfortable since their was an East Asian family sat just in front of us. But it was still quite good, and my nephews enjoyed it. My youngest nephew cried in the first half actually, because my sister came in late and so they had to rush in when the lights were off and it was already going and he wasn't used to it, I think. But in the interval he got a drink and his brother got some crisps and he got a choc ice, and in the second half he was enjoying it a lot more. So it was a pretty good evening, in the end.
But my main point, which I forgot on Friday night, was that because I was out at the pantomime, I missed the Coronation Street with David and Gary's 'night out' in it. And I had to run down at about half past one, when my parents had gone to bed, to see it. IT WAS WELL WORTH SEEING THOUGH. Oh my God. I love how David and Gary hardly ever talk to each other really, but then when the writers do decide they should be in scenes together they act like the best of friends. Also because, this is mostly just a theory of mine, but David seems to have a thing where he no almost no longer minds physical violence or people getting up close to him to try to threaten him, but people getting up close out of friendship or emotion is something he seems a lot more wary of. It's a thing that seemed to be happening with Nathan Wylde on Emmerdale as well, and it was just as great there. But he and Gary are grabbing each other, standing right next to each other, slapping each other on the chest, and David doesn't even seem to care. Or Gary. It's quite great.
Anyway. Some kind person has uploaded the episode, as they seem to be doing for all Coronation Street episodes, on Youtube. There were two episodes, and they have lumped it together as three videos, and Part 1 has all the stuff that happened to Gary before the night out, but the first one with David and Gary together is here, with their scenes at 8.54 and 14.03, and Part 3 is here, and their scene is at 9.45, and Gary's last scene is at 12.00.
