Flims and things

Went to see Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Which is very, very good and funny, and Robert Downey Jr=yay! And of course, Val Kilmer as gay private detective also=yay! And the fact that they kiss onscreen very much=yay! However, Robert Downey Jr is depressingly convincing as a straight person. Hmph. I could probably read slash for it, but can't see it myself. Although they did have a very sweet ending - in the last gunfight, Kilmer/Perry who previously claimed to not be a nice man, and not like Downey Jr/Harry, jumps in front of him to protect him, eee! And then when they are both recovering in hospital and he finds out Harry is not a wannabe actor but a small-time thief who's been arrested five times, he tells him 'don't steal stuff anymore. You're not a schmuck', and a year later they are working together as detectives, and Perry has a little beard, and he covers Harry's mouth so he can't talk into the camera. Eee. And yet it was still a bit of an anti-climax for me. I blame slash I think, which has taught me to think that if two men who are physical and mental polar opposites come together under stressful situations to fight crime and whatnot, the end result will naturally be 'omg am love for you!' ::sex::. To which 'you can have a job, but don't talk' really doesn't compare. But it is a very good movie and well worth seeing, yes.
This week we appear to be all set for the HP midnight showing, omg yay. Am actually quite excited now. Seeing it before almost everyone else, without being surrounded by kids (hopefully). Does not quite compute. The show 'manager' has booked the tickets. Today she is going to get the tickets. If she loses the tickets, I will cry.
I have lots of work to do for this week before that though.
Also, I am rubbish at not spending money, and at eating healthily. Unless chips and gravy and a bowl of peas counts as a nutritious main meal. Which it doesn't.
Can someone please explain to me about 'all your [xxx] are belong to us'/'for great justice!'? Because it makes me laugh and I don't know why. I'm thinking Terry Prachett. Help? In small writing?
