Well, the dog is gone to a nice doggy home for the weekend. And seemed awfully excited about it all too, poor lad. The last few times we've sent him away during the holidays he's come back slightly...traumatised. But this is for only a few days, not weeks, and it's to a nice proper dog home, rather than my dad's cousin's 'kennels'. So I am sure it will all work out fine. Yes.

I have spent a disturbing amount of money in the last few days, considering that I only wanted to take a tenner out of the bank yesterday, and when I couldn't thought £20 would be too much. It was not. There were bathroom accessories, and birthday cards, and eyebrow waxes (beauty is pain!), and suddenly I was having to get my sister's birthday present with my bank card. Hmph. I probably still should have bought 'The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists' book from the WH Smith reduced rack though...

Mother and I went to Freeport for nice white and pink trainers, which I thought were £20 but were actually £15. But the 5 was too tight, and the 6 was too loose, then turned out to be a 7 and there was no 6, but meanwhile I'd spotted a lovely pair of Timberland trainers for £45, from £65. After much hassle, since their 5s were too tight as well, and tracking down a 6 in the backroom which were less tight but crush my little toes still, I decided that they were leather and would 'give', and were lovely in any case, so they were boughted. And mum helped. Nice mother :D

While I was in town I saw the manager from the Charity shop, come outside for a smoke, and she informed me that the shop building was actually quite old, and used to be a house and shop, and had X many ghosts, so she daren't go up to the top floor on her own. I wondered why I hadn't been told this before, perhaps. Then she revealed that there was a cellar under the shop, which had been blocked up when they fitted out the new shop, and there were in fact cellars under every shop either in the row or in the town, and they all connected, and in the olden days people used to hold black markets down there! And they continued to connect to a set of tunnels that ran all the way to the castle, which the kings and queens escaped down, in the even more olden days. Which is incredibly interesting, and slightly scary. Learn something new every day!

Oh, and someone wrote Nine/Mickey fic. I am happy :)

Still need to pack. And possibly wrap Katie's birthday present. Possibly in a plastic bag. Probably this will be my last post for a bit then. Probably I'll post lots of stupid little titbits throughout the night. But after tonight - yes. Farewell.

That last comment sounded a little harsh, looking back on it. But I really can't remember ever friending you. I think we just got mixed up somehow. Sorry.
