I could barely sleep last night, thinking about the election. But then I did sleep, and had a rather nice dream about Tom Cruise in a mech suit, and Matthew Broderick as the Ordinary Guy helping him stop a mercenary takeover of America and/or a small town. Who he also slept with. So that was nice.

That is a fabulous dream, well done you. I dreamed that there was this building and I can't remember what it was for, but all the floor was full of holes and water and we had to train the water to keep out of the way around the edges and not fill the holes and no matter how well we did it just got worse and there was water everywhere and so something really important was going to go wrong although I don't know why or how. Hff.

That's a shame. Water is tricksy. Tom Cruise could probably have tamed it, if he was there.

My dream was one of those lovely ones where you don't quite want to wake up because you want to know what happens next. There was even a proper scene of the bad guy getting hold of Matthew Broderick and being all creepy and weird and sort of taunting Tom Cruise about him, like he was The Girl. My brain's commitment to action movie tropes was quite impressive.
