The only thing I really have to talk about is computer games, and I'm pretty sure no-one on my flist will know about them or care. I'm not sure what the spoiler policy is about things people probably don't care about.

But I am playing games. The ending of Mass Effect was so weird and sad and slightly unrelated to the game/s that came before it that it kind of put me off games altogether for a little while. Just in case I couldn't trust any of them. I remember what I loved about Mass Effect and mostly got over that though. I have had to sort of leave the Mass Effect fandom though, just because seeing the constant prompts for FemShep stuff was sort of making me feel like the ManShep I loved didn't exist. But. I digress.

I'm playing VENETICA. Which is amazing. I've been wanting to play it since I saw it in a CEX a few months ago, and I finally started. It's...well, it's hard to explain. If you have ever played Black and White 2, the animation and voice acting is largely at the level of the cutscenes in that. Except for certain things, like Scarlett's FACE. I love it when you can tell which is the main character and which is the one the game developers love the most because their face looks the most like an actual face. And she gets a storyline. And she gets powers. She's the daughter of death, that's not a spoiler it's on the back cover, and her true love dies in one of the first cutscenes (that is kind of a spoiler), and everyone's like 'Scarlett, you've got to go save the WORLD now', and she's like '...but my boyfriend JUST died. And I'm not really prepared for any of this. And also, what the hell is going on?'. She copes super well though. They keep giving her weird 'customised' armour, like with the back missing or her stomach showing. But I sticking with plate mail, and that seems to be covering most of the bits it should. And I LOVE IT.

Also I finally downloaded and starting playing Okami, a game I wanted to play when it first came out on Playstation 2, but I didn't have a Playstation 2. You play as a wolf. Who's actually a goddess. It's genuinely probably one of the most beautiful games, or things, I've ever seen. They do also have some problems with costuming for their female characters - except the wolf (so far) - like they just can't help putting that stuff in, because why not? But I'm trying to ignore that. Well, it's hard to ignore when it's actually onscreen. But it's not onscreen very often. And apart from that, the game is great. The only real problem is that the buttons for the game menu and the in-game inventory in Okami are the exact opposite to what they are in Venetica. But I'm hoping to just get used to that. Because it's incredibly irritating.

Also I started replaying Infamous 2 again, because I love Cole McGrath, I love New Marais and all the graphics, and I love Joseph Bertrand even though he's a massive jerk. I'm probably going to give it up in favour of more Okami and Venetica though.

Other than that, I have been having some weirdly vivid dreams lately. I'm not going to bore anyone by going into great detail about my dreams - or I'm going to try not to - but the other night I dreamed about a group of four friends/workmates who worked at a zoo, and solved crime in their spare time. Or got dragged into one local crime, the details were sketchy. And some of their faces were so vivid I can picture them now, even though to the best of my knowledge they're not based on actual people. Then the night after that I dreamed that the hill behind my housing estate (which doesn't exist) suddenly had a new, high-tech university or technical college built on it, so my mum and I walked up the steep hill to get there. And it had big evil turbines everywhere and all the doors were locked, and it turned that all the teachers were evil, or in a cult, or it was haunted, or it was haunted by something that was being worshipped by the evil cult of teachers. Possibly students were being sacrificed into a big black hole in the cafeteria. I'm not sure.

And then last night, I dreamed about, essentially, Keanu Reeves and Christian Bale. And Keanu Reeves was playing a vampire hunter, and Christian Bale was a super-old vampire. But Christian Bale and his gang of vampires weren't evil, and sort of tried to stop vampires that were and went after humans, just because it fucked things up for vampires everywhere and was messed up. So they let Keanu Reeves go after the evil vampires and were sort of amused by him, and he just hated Christian Bale for not being evil, or young and weak enough for him to kill so he kind of didn't have to think about him anymore. Then Keanu Reeves ran into another little gang of vampires being run by a blonde woman (possibly Christina Ricci) and a child vampire, who were sort of just trying to get on with their lives, and Keanu Reeves ended up helping them. And then it turned out Keanu Reeves was dying. I might have channelled Constantine quite a bit in this dream. And then Christian Bale found out he was dying, and everyone was a little unsure about what he was going to do about it. Because he was fond enough of Keanu Reeves, and possibly gay enough for him, that turning him against his will wasn't entirely off the cards. I woke up thinking wow, I should check when that film comes out. I'm sad to say it will probably never come out.

No vampire would EVER LET KEANU REEVES DIE. Except maybe boob-hair Gary Oldman in Dracula, but if you deliberately run around with boob-hair odds are your taste.is already questionable, so he doesn't count.

Lol, I forgot he was in Dracula. And y'know, even Gary Oldman seemed pretty fond of him. "He belongs to me!" and all that. I think even in my dream I was aware of which direction "Keanu Reeves is dying, will his vampire boyfriend let it happen??" would be going in.

Or maybe his vampire boyfriends go back further than we thought...

According to that article I'm pretty sure he predates the Cullens, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Good, coz it would be terrible to think Keanu Reeves had to spent eternity in the company of some whiny poser vampire going on and on about the UNBEARIBILITYNESS OF IMMORTAL LIFE.

I actually have a weird soft spot for Edward Cullen. Bearing in mind I haven't read the hyper-stalking in the book. I think it's because of Robert Pattinson. Like, if you imagine Edward hates himself as much as Robert Pattinson hates him, everything in Twilight becomes about 100 times funnier.

Alternatively, I'm still getting canon Edward mixed up with Growing Up Cullen Edward. Same deal, really.
