girlofpreyThunderbolts and lightning. Very, very frightening. Spent a brief moment wondering if you could somehow get hit by lightning in the bath. Ah well. At least I'm not half-melted anymore.

jekesta's Drop the Dead Donkey DVDs won't play on my laptop! ::cries:: I need some new file on Windows Media Player. Hopefully if when I get connected to the Internet I can download it, but until then my plans are thwarted. Hmm. Well, I can listen to the episodes - but I feel the beauty of Damien full impact will be lost ::curses it::
However, it did lead to me watching some of my Buffy DVDs - Season 3's Band Candy, because I've never seen it before. Or much of Season 3, really. Spike left and I did mourning. It kicked so much ass. I can't believe I'd almost forgotten the glory of (good) Buffy. Hurray for crazyGiles Ripper and Joyce, and their mad handcuff-sex. Precisely why Giles didn't revert to shagging Ethan I don't understand though. Hurray for crazy Snyder! And hurray for the Buffy who made jokes but also worried about SATs, and then kicked ass. Where did you go, kickass!Buffy? WHERE DID YOU GO?!
Am feeling the old Six Feet Under itch as well - I blamedernhelm for mentioning it in my presence. Dammit, the Season 1 DVD is too expensive! And dammit, there is not enough Billy/Nate slash on the Net. In that there's none ::mopes/tearfully polishes crown of Rare Fandoms:: No-one loves Nate/Billy like I love Nate/Billy, but it MAKES SENSE! Billy is all fucked up - Nate specialises in tapping into fucked-uppedness and helping out. Billy does not want anymore psychobabble, Nate just speaks the plain truth, and often angrily. And...they're pretty! What more do you people want?!
Was shocked to learn in the Six Feet Under book, Better Living Through Death, that Billy is meant to be five years younger than Nate, though. It is not a thing I had ever considered before. It simultaneously fucks up my conception of the pairing, and makes it that much hotter. Oh yes.

I go through fandoms too quickly. This is clearly not right. Apart from the fandomslut issues, it means I never have a chance to get into any one fandom deep enough to actually do anything in it (like fic), and at the end I'm left with nothing, except a beautiful beautiful dream and some pretty icons. And I'm reading 1984 now - a bit odd since I know most of the plot, but ah well - and crushing pretty hard on Winston and Julia already. This will not end well I feel. Teh sigh.
Final thought, randomly related to the Bad Wolf/Tardis!Rose glory of last night: according to some book, the Ancient Greeks called the first light of dawn the lycauges(?), or 'Wolf Light'. Hmm...
