First of all, I would like to say a big hurrah for
jekesta, for alerting me to the fact that all DVD software on laptops everywhere will make screencaps, and that I was an idiot. Hurray, screencaps!! Of all the beautiful people who I love and no-one else knows exist!! Icons are just around the corner, I can feel it. And, when I get my actual laptop connected to the Internet, probably picspam of people I love and no-one else knows exist. AND YOU WILL ALL HAVE TO LOOK AT IT HAHAHAHA!!!
Secondly, I would like to say that coming home from Nottingham was made immensely more pleasurable by the package of
jekesta waiting for me on my desk. I expected DVDs - I got so much more! Lollies! Ritter Sport in inexplicable flavours! A sheep/pylon/tree OT3 postcard! A glove to call my own! It was like some kind of beautiful dream, and my sister read the postcard because she heard me giggling and now she wants to be Jekesta, and I do not blame her, for truly she is a bundle of loveliness, like her packages :D!
Thirdly, I am home from Nottingham. I did so much packing. I have so much stuff. I did so much cleaning. I cleaned an oven. I scrubbed bathroom tiles till they stopped being bright orange. I got stabbed with a staple taking recycling to the recycling place. But I am home, and desperately trying to fit my stuff into a tiny room full of all my old stuff. I do not think I will win at space. But I will have proper curtains that do not let light on my face at 7 o'clock in the morning. This is all for the good. Also I am feeling a bit better about my results. It turns out 2 of my flatmates got pretty much the same, and even the other who isa smartypants hugely interested in all things academic and poetic and whatnot and normally gets 70s, did not get a first. University is more difficult than it looks I assume. I understand most of the marks I got (I hate you, drama, you are not even proper English omg!), and girl flatmate who actually failed a few exams and essays and still got 63.9 and I talked about university, and essays, and why we even want Firsts, and I feel much better. Thank you flist for your kind comments also :*:*:*(to infinity).
Fourthly, I did not see Doctor Who on Saturday. My flatmate had already packed his TV. I am all bereft. LJ is making me feel berefter with its 'no clues but oh wasn't it fabulous?' ways. But I did go see the League of Gentlemen film! And loved it!
Some thoughts:
I had more prolific thoughts yesterday. Today they are mostly that Papa Lazarou=yay and Geoff=yay, and Hilary Briss=scary but in a slightly turning-on way. Also that Steve Pemberton has lovely eyes. I thoroughly approved of the random kidnapping and tying up of British male comedians. There was not enough of it, I feel. Oh, and poor Herr Lipp! He will never have a child! He's just a pun! ::pets him::
Other than this my thoughts were mainly 'handsome Reece!'. Until he said the word 'mongoloids', at which point my thoughts were '*gasp* You are not the man I fell in love with!'. Possibly I am truly searching for Benjamin. Oh Benjamin, where are you? ::mourns:: Reece should have been kidnapped and tied up more. And possibly made somebody's wife. Yes ::looks shifty/escapes::
Other things I liked: Tom Tit! Your song is wonderful, I die! Dr Pea! You are the best villain of ever! Homunculus! Prophecies! George of Asda! And the sign!! Wakefield! Leeds! O my country, O my people! ::dies::
So in conclusion, yes. I liked it a lot, will probably/definitely go see it again. It was funny and weird like the first series at times, but fresh and new at other times, and realistic and touching at times, and cruel and wonderful at other times, and had a medieval pig funeral. It's all good. I like the universe a lot also, in all its reality-bending ways, and have already made plans to toy with it...(until my creations come out to destroy me, omg!)
Home again home again ::dances a home dance - jiggety-jig?::
