Casualty is GREAT

Oh. They did do something great with Dr Jordan and Toby. Last week they see,ed to be making it mostly about DR Jordan and nanother junior docotr called Ruth, who was "thriving" under his leadership, and I thought they might have him favouring her for being more driven, and sort of not noticing Toby or even wanting him out because he's a bit more nervous. But it started out with Dr Jordan shouting at Toby for saying they knew "nothing" about a patient who had been dumped outside the hospital. And then one of their own doctors came in having gotten drunk at a bar and fallen off a wall trying to climb out of a locked toilet cubicle, and Dr Jordan was putting Toby on the spot about whether or not to remove the neck brace, and the doctor who'd been brought in grabbed Toby by the collar and said she was his superior and she had possible skull damage and he had to give her a CT scan, and he told her quite firmly that he was the doctor, and she was drunk, and what she needed was the basics. And Dr Jordan looked at him with something edging on respect. It was great.

Then later two people who had been caught in an explosion came in, and Dr Jordan was clapping him to come over to one of them now, and Toby held up his hand to say "WAIT", and then leaned down to the other one who was freaking out massively, to put his head close to the patient's and say beautiful things about how it was going to be alright, and he looked up, and Dr Jordan was just looking at him, and then he nodded at Toby. It was beautiful. Maybe they are going to do something a bit special with them. Yay.

I also went to the Goose Fair. I went on a sailing boat ride with my nephew that turned out to be a bit more like the waltzers than we would have liked, and the sled part of a carousel, and a soaking wet bouncy castle with my nephew, the dodgems, and the waltzers. It was grand fun, even if it did start raining about an hour into it. Because I was out though, I haven't seen tonight's Strictly Come Dancing yet, and it doesn't seem to be up on the iPlayer. Hopefully it will be up before the results show tomorrow. You'd think they'd want to get it on there while people can still vote. Though I suppose it's difficult because the show's filmed live. Oh well ::sigh::.

I would just like you to know that I blame you for the fact that I am now watching Casualty again despite the gruesomeness (OH MY GOD HIS HAND!! They don't show this stuff on Holby!!) and also slashing Nick and lovely Toby.

I did squee a lot at this episode.

They are so beautiful. I really thought they might be heading towards Dr Jordan disapproving of Toby and wanting him out of the department. It's nice that's they set up a nice little episode arc of him falling in love with him. Toby's so lovely. He stroked the patient's hair! It was quite great. If a bit gruesome, yes. Casualty's always been a bit like that though.
