Aaand I think Heroes might just have been ruined for quite a few people on my flist. If Nathan is indeed dead. There's every chance Peter hasn't learned to GIVE HIM HIS BLOOD. But then again, who knows? If he's alive, he's probably going to be getting sick of being the injured one all the time. If he's not, Peter's probably going to open up a whirlwind of pain on the Company. Who wants to bet that the shooter was Bennett?

I was going to talk about last week's episode last week, but I had some rage and thought it was best to wait and see how this one turned out. Mainly, I had heard the spoiler about Niki dying in a fire, and along with Monica's power being COMPLETELY USELESS when faced with a group of guys, I started getting annoyed about the horrendous gender issues. But oh, Niki actually ran around, kicking people and saving people, so even if she has died I'm not actually that annoyed about it. Still a bit annoyed, because I like her, and when she actually does things it's a bit awesome. But not as annoyed as if she'd died because of Evil Men after a Man let her down on the cure-front. The explosion seemed pretty definite, but we all know that Claire/Adam's blood can bring people back from the dead. And how far are they going to stretch that? It's seems like it'd be quite a lot of punishment for Micah to have both his parents die. Although now they've got another family and Woman With Powers to take care of him. So I don't know. Generally, I just don't trust cliffhangers.

But other than that, I thought it was quite good. The bits with Elle were good. The bits with Bennett were good. There were no massive logical flaws I could see, except that PETER YOU CAN READ MINDS. READ ADAM'S MIND? Hiro's punishment of Adam seemed a bit much, frankly. A bit worse than death, sort of? But it leaves it open for his return, and for Molly to find him or something, which is probably what they were going for. Peter and Adam teaming up again to take the Company. That would be quite good.

I still mostly love Peter, especially when he uses his powers to just destroy anyone in his path. I like how he's good with his powers. I take it he's the Pandora's box his mother was talking about. He seems to be a lot more violent this year. It's nice how Niki and Micah can have a joke in the car when his cousin's been kidnapped by thugs. West turned out to be a BIT crazy and wanky, canonically, which was nice. SYLAR, THE GLASS ISN'T YOUR ENEMY! But he has his powers back, and an eye for some new characters. It'll be interesting to see who he's up against in the next season. Sylar vs. Elle - for the win. But he failed to sing the Popeye song at the end there. Fail.

And thus ends this season. Or half-season. I'm still not sure how they're playing it. OH, PETER AND NATHAN.

ETA: Niki's death would be a good way to guilt-trip Mohinder, though, so hmm. And dude. That was quite bad of Hiro. Is this going to be his character development?

I really hope someone gets Kensei out of that hole. Such a waste of a character otherwise. Loved Peter/Adam kicking ass together.

I'm pretty sure they won't bring Nikki back, her body has probably been blown to bits, so I doubt Claire/Adam's blood would help. But I'm sure that's how they'll save Nathan ( saving him twic for the next season is a bit redudant thought)...

And HELL YEAH for Sylar getting his powers back...

Re: Niki - I don't know. The explosion didn't seem that massive. Although I'm no expert on how explosions affect bodies. I suppose it would depend on how close she was to the centre of the explosion, or if she was sheltered by anything. At this point, Adam has survived an explosion that should have blown his head off, and Nathan got winged by a nuclear blast and came out of it mostly okay. Alive, at least. But they've gone to all the trouble of giving Micah a new family so I'm probably hoping for too much. Growl.

It would have to be Peter's blood, since he'll have absorbed their powers (both of them), and there's no more of Claire's left and she's being left alone, and Kensei's stuck in a hole. Peter didn't seem in any hurry to get a syringe, though. Oh Peter. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see what happens in Volume 3, I guess. Whenever that may be. It was a good ending.

I hope they get Kensei out of the hole too, but I hope they develop him a bit more. The straight mad supervillain stuff didn't really do much for me. I think I prefered him as a rudderless drunk. Though Peter and Adam were GREAT. Maybe he'll team up with Sylar in the next season.

Huh, I really thought that explosion looked big. I'm sure Nathan won't die so I guess they won't get Nikki back. :(

Maybe Peter isn't aware of his new healing powers. I wonder if he actually has them and if he's immortal.
Claire could see the news on TV and decide to help her biological dad...

I actually like the way they characterized Kensei. 400 years of watching humanity could drive everyone insane. Things is, he has to care about humanity in order to despair over it, ehich means they cold actually pull some redemption storyline.
I'd love to see Peter/Adam/Sylar team up to kick some Company ass. If Peter thinks the Company is responsible for Nathan being shot, that might actually happen...

SYLAR SURE SHOWED THOSE WINDOWS WHO WAS BOSS!

Oh, Peter. I actually quite like him when he's being evil because at least he gets more proactive then. Also, his HILARIOUS INEPTITUDE is all the more hilarious when he's using his powers for evil. HOW MANY PEOPLE needed to tell him that Adam was evil? I mean, DUDE! I can't remember if he actually retains powers that he sponges up from people but I guess he must be able to if he come shove people out of the way with his mind. Which means- seriously! READ HIS MIND, PETER!

I can't believe Sylar and his can of spinach. Heroes is just HILARIOUSLY RUBBISH sometimes. I was busy being totally horrified by what Hiro did to Adam and then they pulled out to reveal that he'd buried Adam IN HIS FATHER'S GRAVE and suddenly it snapped back from totally creepy into totally ludicrous. Oh, Heroes.

The problem with Peter being proactive is that, if he ever set out to get something, he would pretty much just win. Or explode. One of the two. So I can cope with him not going after much for himself. But I do quite love it when he goes a bit psycho. Oh. This is two telekinesis-pwnings for two seasons now, isn't it? Win.

They were trapped in a prison together for months, which forms a SACRED BOND between two people! You've watched Oz, surely you know this. You don't just MESS THAT UP by telepathically raping your incarceration-friend just because five people said they were evil! WHY WOULD YOU EVER DO THAT? No, there was a think in season 1 about whether Peter retained powers from people after they were separated or could 'only do things when he's with other people', but it turned out that he was. He doesn't seem to always remember this though. OH PETER.

I assumed it was his father's grave from the get-go, so he would have to LIVE WITH WHAT HE'D DONE, and also because it was the grave Hiro would best know how to teleport into. But it was still quite bizarre. And creepy. And ineffectual. THIS IS A TV SHOW HIRO, CLEARLY HE WILL GET OUT! But still. Dude. Bet he won't be telling Ando about that one.

Oh, Heroes.
