Heroes 2x02 "Lizards"

• Oh, Claire has plans. Just like her father. That was great.



• And they really are doubling up on powers now. Kensei healing and all. I do love the fact that he's essentially a medieval Gaijan Claire. And that he might be one of those "I don't know and I don't care, but I will take advantage of it" heroes. But hmm. I don't know. I sort of liked the idea that only one person ever had a power, except for Peter and Sylar. But I suppose it's not very feasible.



• They've also put the 'evolution' back a few hundred years. Who else is superpowered? King Arthur? Ben Franklin?



• They broke up my Peter/box OTP, as I knew they would. But then they gave me another one! Oh Peter and his boxes. It was quite lovely when he recognised his name. He is being given quite a boring storyline though. Although perhaps I'm rating 'being trained into a thief by comedy Irishmen' too harshly though.



• I have no interest in Peter/Caitlin. Caitlin/Ricky, however... Also, possibly Peter/Szlocky(?). Who is blatantly going to be one of the nine.



• Oh. I don't know. Much as I love seeing Peter use all his powers (that was the girliest punch in the WORLD) I was thinking that amnesia was quite a potent tool against Peter. Since he apparently has to think of how people made him feel to use his powers. So the forgetting was not just mindfucky but disarming. But then again I suppose he wasn't thinking of how Claire made him feel the two times he was dead. Or how Ted made him feel when he was about to blow up New York. Um. Yes. Anyway. I was sort of looking forward to him being stripped of or cut off from all his old powers and having to learn a whole new set. But oh well. He still has telekinesis, hurray!



• Also: Peter handles people like a pro. Hah.



• Bennet wants to keep his family 'invisible'. Claude shoutout!And oh, Bennet and the Haitian reunited. Hurrah.



• Mohinder let the target touch him with their hands. CLASSIC ROOKIE MISTAKE.



• And I love the swordsmith's daughter. Even if she has gone a bit swoony.



• Maya's wibbly face after the (superpowered?) healer told her she was cursed was just hil-ar-ious.



• Angela/Kaito = Totally canon. Probably there was just a bunch of Old Skool sexing.



• And she pwned Matt. Hurrah!



• Oh it's a shame that Peter isn't in New York right now. He would totally be all over tracking down the bastard who attacked his mom. Is it wrong that I want him to slowly use his powers for more and more personal gain, until eventually he's just running most things?



• Where is my Sylar? He totally hasn't turned up yet to go after Peter, so Peter can be all 'Who are you?', and he can think 'POSSIBILITIES'. What's up with that?



• ETA: Oh yes, and I noticed that Peter was half-naked through most of this, until he stole a shirt. Don't think I didn't.



• ETA2: Oh, and when Hiro was about to kiss the swordsmith's daughter he BLATANTLY stopped and thought of Ando. That was quite good.

Rah. I had the strangest dream last night, which for some reason involved Peter and Sylar and Cain from Emmerdale. And Samuel L. Jackson. But I sort of understand that part. There was one bit where we/they were in Venice or London and we decided to go to this famous underground restaurant for lunch, and I stood on the steps and took a breath and could feel cold and damp in my throat. The waiter/maitre'd looked a bit like Igor. It was quite odd. Then I got lost and the 'superheroes' totally couldn't find me. I was only around the corner. They were rubbish.
