Does killing still happen on an upsettingly regular basis in Emmerdale? Why has the village not been condemned?

I derive no small amount of glee from the fact that Emmerdale is the village where no-one goes down for the murders they actually committed. Or only VERY RARELY. I don't know about other characters, but more people seem to be falling from high places ever since the Kings arrived.
