Films are great

Soon all my icons will be by Cleolinda.
I went to see The Princess Bride at the Broadway today, and it turned out to be a great plan. Even if it was packed, and I did feel a bit guilty about not shifting up so people in pairs could sit together near the middle. Buttercup doesn't really do much, does she? Just look pretty and cleverly figure out where the lightning sand is. She did use to torture farmboys when she was younger though, which I suppose is pretty cool. And she swore she would never love again, like her SOUL WAS BARREN. That's always a plus. Anyway. I also hadn't noticed the relish with which Cary Elwes mentions Buttercup's 'pig fiance'. That was great. And then he went all floppy, and he and Inigo and Fezzick stormed the castle and escaped on white horses. WELL DONE THEM. It was nice to be in a room full of people who laughed at all the jokes too, and stayed at the end to say "Oh, Billy Crystal!". That was great. It really makes me want to read the book, except for the part where I can't buy any more books. For at least 3 months.
I had a plan tonight to stay in and do some cleaning - the flat's being inspected on Monday, so I have to do some at some point. However I'm probably going to go watch the Painted Veil instead. Because it has Edward Norton in braces, being a doctor in 1920s China, married to a woman who thinks she hates him but turns out to not do that so much by the end of the film. And that's a whole bunch of kinks right there. I do need to do some food shopping at some point. Remind me.
