Ignore the fact that I have an exam in two days time

Omg.

Well, I got the ending I wanted. Just not quite the way I would have liked it. I kind of wanted Caroline to realise the loveliness of Guy, and the slight uselessness of Mac, and pick him for him...rather than because Mac let her down "for the last time". I also have a horrible feeling it's been set up so they can switch everything round YET AGAIN at Christmas, in the Season finale. Though I can't see to what effect in the Caroline/Mac stakes...

On that note: when I said I wanted Mac to die a bit...I DIDN'T MEAN IT! I DIDN'T KNOW THE POWER OF MY WORDS!! Oh.

I'm still all about Guy/Caroline - but when I think back to him letting that balloon go, it does slightly break my heart. Like so :,(

But. Guy/Caroline! Caroline Secretan! Although she did annoy me a bit with her LIES and constantly selling Guy out. But I suppose she's learned to be wary of him, and she MAKES HIM HAPPY, so I give her the benefit of the doubt.

But Guy. Oh Guy.

His face every time Caroline blew him off. His scared terrified silence when she asked him about the mirror. Their kiss, with the lights! And that t-shirt he sleeps in! And however slightly twisted the ending was compared to what I was hoping for: when he came out of the steam, in his shirt and tie - he was her man. And that's it.

Though how I'm going to write Guy/Jake porn now is beyond me. Also, I'd ask how they got on the train since Mac assumedly had the tickets and they don't know where they're going, but I'd rather revel in the love.

Also:

• I freaked out slightly when I thought they were going to have Sue have a miscarriage. I'm still not entirely sure what actually happened though.


• Poor Karen!


• But 'we could all go to a motel?' - YAY. Boyce loves Alan. Forever. The end.

Alas. I do feel slightly bad for the Caroline/Mac-ers. Especially since tiniago is one of them. But I do feel that it's very Green Wing - and a good change for TV - to have the shows 'perfect' relationship to have been a sham of lies on one side, and mind games on the other. Though it COULD STILL ALL CHANGE AT CHRISTMAS!

The thing is though, that it's not really about Caroline/Mac and Caroline/Guy - they were an OT3. And they're both going to be distraught if/when Mac dies. And that really is quite tragic and heartbreaking.

That said though - they've brought the angst. And you know how I love the angst... >:)

I agree on all your comments. Sad that Caroline was STILL disappointed when it was Guy at the end. Slightly.

Yes, and may there be lots of comfort sex to get them through it! You know I'm still holding out for the OT3. Guy will realise his love for Mac and vice versa.

I think now maybe there'll be a thing at Christmas where Caroline finds out about Mac, and is drawn back to him, and they have angst, but he's, you know, going to die. And she realises that Guy is actually marvellous all on his own (possibly through his GRIEF for Mac), and lets Mac go, and there is just love. I will be extremely happy if this happens.

Re: the OT3, though: people have been saying something about a banana, and a big Mac and Guy scene, and a banana kiss. They said it about this series, but there's only the Christmas special left. I LIVE IN HOPE.
