My youngest nephew was over today. It was kind of an involved affair including laughter, tears, falling asleep on a sofa, and someone weeing themselves (not any of the adults), but it was still lovely to see him, as ever. And in between that, I managed to get up town with my mum (again), and finally go and put some of my birthday money in my account, cancel my direct debit for the phone insurance I cancelled, and change my account to a regular account I don't have to pay for. So now I no longer have any bills I'm paying, and I'm not using my overdraft, or not supposed to be using it. The money I have in my account is all I have to spend, barring my savings, and none of it should disappear to pay some bill without me realising it. And it's nice to have that sorted out finally. It's a little bit scary, not having the overdraft to fall back on, or cheat with, and having to really be aware of how much money I've got and how much I'm spending. But it's also quite reassuring in a different way, and hopefully it will teach me to be a bit more responsible with it.

In some ways it feels a bit pathetic to be only just feeling like I'm trying to be responsible with money at 26. I did live on my own for two or three years, but I also dipped into my savings quite a lot when I wanted things, or just when I spent too much without realising it. But I don't really regret that time, and at least I'm starting now. Hurrah.

Also last night I sort of skipped watching snooker, or somehow sort of forgot it was on, in favour of making a post about shipping Miss Marple with a psychopath and watching Coronation Street. Mostly I'm happy they still point out that Maria and Fiz are best friends, and imagining in ten years or so from now when Hope and Liam are playing together, and Hope is making fun of Liam because her dad was a murderer, and it was only his godfather who murdered people. Poor kids. In other news, I still hate John Stape. People on the soapboards were discussing how this storyline might end, and some people were saying they hope it doesn't end with him dying, because he's not like Tony Gordon or Richard Hillman. He only wanted to teach. All I have to say to those people is that, no. He's not like Tony Gordon or Richard Hillman. Even a tiny bit.

And then the Suspicions of Mr Whicher was on, with Paddy Considine. Which was not an unpleasant way to spend two hours <3. Is it just me, or is imdb becoming less impressive these days though? I went to the Suspicions Of Mr Whicher page last night to try to work out who someone was, and they didn't even have Paddy Considine in the cast list. And the other week I was looking at the page for Chaos (which I've been watching) to try to work out what character someone else was, and the Chaos page claims that out of what I assume is a 12 or 13 episode run, the main actor is only in 4 of them. Are people just not bothering to update imdb anymore? Or am I just looking at a little-known, neglected set of pages? Hmm.
