Omg Lemony Snicket 6 spoilers! )

Went to see Constantine again yesterday, despite being interrogated by an odd girl on the bus who wanted to get off at the same stop as me (!), and two noisy and annoying girls in the (mostly empty) cinema with me, who literally just chattered and laughed really loudly, spilled their popcorn all over the floor, and then walked out when the movie was only 3/4 over - wtf?

Anywho, some thoughts )

HMV are having an Easter sale as usual. Excellent. Will have a snoop round with my b'thday money perhaps. The Prisoner boxset down to £30 - tempting. And I have vouchers. Yes. Perhaps. I don't have nearly enough DVDs :)

Horror movie with Samantha today. Yay. Fun is funful.

Omg yay!

Omg sunshine, yay! Last please ::crosses fingers::

My friends called back! ::Flails proudly:: So I will be going to see them tomorrow and Friday for DVDs and gossip (ooo). And then Saturday we might be doing something nice for my birthday (for once), and Sunday will be my birthday, and also Easter Sunday, and there will be chocolate and presents and money, oh my. So am happy. Today am going to Wakefield to see Constantine again, in the big Cineworld multiplex, which I miss. Independent cinemas are nice, but there's just something about a multiplex...perhaps the purse-raping snack prices....

Connotations posted in their LJ! Which means...something! Perhaps e-mails and confirmation-type things soon? Ack, that reminds me - need to get the money out of my post office account. But Connotations, yay! Also, I found Taxi biscuits in Home Bargains, what are looovely, with chocolate and caramel and wafer mmm, but not sold anymore for why? Not in proper supermarkets anyway, only Home Bargains type ones. Hmm.

Also, Trouble With Normal is on Paramount again - it are about 4 paranoid types in NYC and their madness/therapy adventures with their therapist Claire, and no-one else has ever seen it but me, and it is not a great show, but quite funny sometimes, and omg slashy, and there is a super-paranoid hacker type guy called Zach whom I ::loveslovesloves:: so yay. Sadly no Drop the Dead Donkey though :(. Fic ideas remain in the box ::closes the box::

In conclusion: Am quite happy, yes. Baby is not crying at all neither, and the sixth Lemony Snicket book is really interesting so far. And almost finished with the first Constantine 'novel', wherein a demon has already snogged him, and keeps talking about the time he had to 'chastise' him, and...yes. Happy :)

Mmmm, Ben and Jerry's Cookie Dough Chip. Ick, feeling a bit sick. I could actually move around in my jeans the first time I put them on as well this morning. Guess I can kiss that goodbye...

Spent most of today taking care of the Small One for my sister. I feel this will be a common theme over the next week or so. He can cry very loudly, yes, and does, if you do not pick him up and pay attention to him always. My mother showed me a magic way of carrying him that makes him stop crying when nothing else will, for which I am eternally grateful. Also he drooled on me. But fell asleep once on my shoulder when he cried for ages and then I fed him a bit, and he grips my finger quite a bit. He is lovely yes. I will prefer it when he learns to swear at us rather than cry.

Dead Man's Shoes is out, but I cannot afford it yet :(. Have not heard from any of my friends neither. But I am getting much appreciation at home so yay :).

Watched Diamond Geezer last night. Thought it was good - David Jason very good actor, and the other one quite pretty and good also. I was confused by all the should-be-slashy-but-aren't bits of affection until the big twist, which I did not see coming, which proves its goodness I think. Slashed the young one quite hard with the 'hard men' and 'sausage jockies' though - this is the problem with being at home with the TV, I suddenly obtain about 500 new, half-arsed fandoms. Sigh. My bedroom furniture is slightly sorted though, and my laptop has a place that is not the middle of a pile of t-shirts, so who knows, I might get some work fic done. Wonders apparently never cease.

Constantine is quite overly socially satirical, but still good, and is impressing me with his shirty sexiness. Lemony Snicket continues to be marvellous also, though a little frustrating in it's kid lit kind of way. The way its all 'opening up' now, with new characters and different situations makes me miss Old Skool Lemony, but I love it still. More please yes :)

6 days to my birthday yay!

Am back home :). Where the computer is in much demand, so possibly not so much LJing for a while no :(. Baby Jack continues to be lovely though - we have been watching MTV and dancing, and I sang him Wonderwall and he grabbed my finger and omg he looks like me!!! :D He is all huge now, and he is like a wriggle-monster when you try to hold him, but when not crying has big blue eyes and talks a bit even! and we're really quite pleased with him. Yes. :)

Had a looovely day yesterday, even before the home/babyness. I completely at random saw two of my old flatmates from last year, leading me to call the other old flatmate, and we 'did lunch' at in town by the river/canal. Well, we attempted to - the first bar had an hour-long wait for food, and the second was all out of food, and by the time we tried the third it was sort of cold so we ate inside. But I feel the intention stands. We had burgers and omg pudding! I had some mad thing which was chocolate sponge and chocolate sauce with chocolate sauce and caramel and BITS OF BELGIAN WAFFLE on top, and she had something that was a Jaffa cake pudding. I felt so ill, but didn't stop eating it :). Mm, tasty. We have agreed to go on picnics next term, and do many lovely things that involve talking to each other which we have not done so much of no ::shame::

Ooh, bought the Constantine comic book with money I don't have too! How much like Spike is he? Good lord. But it is good even if there random bolding. Am enjoying the fantasy demoniness. I eagerly await the bisexual sexualness. Yes.

Have to go see my grandma now to say sorry I missed your birthday and also your being is hospital briefly (she is fine, and was always) but here is a card, I love you, don't cut me out of the will and so on. And see her, of course. Bye!

I got felt up by a doctor today. Dad will be so pleased ;)

Enough mystery. El breast pain has continued, on and off, and i worry, so toddled off to get it checked out. The (male) doctor was very nice about it, despite the fact I made an emergency appointment for what was essentially a sort-of twinge every now and then. Still, you can't be too careful, and it was either today or two weeks on Monday, so. Yes. There were no lumps, and its not a continuous thing, so we're 'adopting a wait-and-see policy'. It is not an 'omg remove the breast NOW' policy, so I am quite pleased :)

Eee, going home tomorrow! Ack, forgot my grandmother's birthday! Sort of. I really should have called, but am doing the penniless thing, and am not sure how many free minutes i have left, so...didn't. I will take her a card, and hope she is kind and merciful when my birthday rolls around ::hopes::

Feeling a bit better about one of my essays, since I have seen all sorts of facets and curly-intriguing bits in it since my seminar this morning. Still need to get books though >:(. I do not like the library. It is always full of people.

Have rethought my non-fangirling of Constantine, though. Observe the new icon, created by the much talented otherpictures. Be amazed as I point out that it an actual scene from the movie, not a manip. And yes, that is Satan nibbling on Keanu's ear :D. Speaking of fangirliness, I was watching a nature documentary last night (about how dolphins are evil, I think), and got hit by sudden Hook-Handed Man plotbunnies. This says something about how i view him, I think.

omg Constantine! )

The relevant summary = Vaguely recommended, if you like visuals and fantasy and Keanu Reeves looking pretty :)

Saw some interesting trailers as well. Star Wars is annoyingly drawing me in. I can't help it! Ewan McGregor is being all unaware and 'wtf?' as Obi-Wan again. I think bad thoughts. Also, Ian McDiarmid is the emporer who should be foxing Obi-Wan, who was Porfiry in Crime and Punishment, despite thinness and shortness, and so has won my eternal respect. Also an odd-looking Jet Li film called 'Unleashed' which I have not heard of - I spend a fair amount on film magazines every month to ensure this doesn't happen - where in he wears a collar and kicks the shit out of people for his 'master'. Intriguing. Also there was another one, but my memory fails.

Oh yes, and finished 'Shame' for Literary Culture - was awfully impressed by it. All the characters are equally ::eyeroll:: and ::pumps fist::(not like that). Sufiya Zinobia = my new hero 4eva, 1111, and so on. It gets slightly horrific towards end - and at certain points in the middle and beginning, even - but worth a look I think. Rushdie may be the new Abominable Snowman, but he sure leaves interesting 'droppings' behind.
