Dear amazon,

I get that you are rubbish. Rubbishly rubbish. I get why you recommend me things I would have no interest in, or that I already own - for how are you to know? I even sort of get why you recommend me things that are already on my wishlist - no harm trying, ey? But why, precisely, do you feel the need to keep recommending me something I just ordered, all of five minutes ago, FROM YOU???

No love (or respect, frankly),

I don't get why they would recommend me things on my wishlist. It's like they're all 'oh, you might like this' and I shriek for OF COURSE I LIKE IT, I TOLD THEM I LIKED IT, DUDE. Yes. Also I HATE THEM FOR NOT KNOWING THINGS in my head about what I already own. Grr.

I don't really get it either. While clearly an incredible FEAT of deduction (yes, I WOULD like the things I'm wishing for), it annoys the hell out of me. Also the fact that page 3 of My Recommendations always seem to have a lot of things from Page 2, and so on, the further into it I go. But they kept alerting me to new Francesca Lia Block books, so I was willing to forgive it, forgive it all!, until they recommended me something I just bought from them!! Which I don't think they'd ever recommended before! And now my vague irritation fury KNOWS NO BOUNDS.

You have great text-only icons. You are very special.

ALSO they always recommend to me all the individual disks of things I OWN THE BOXSET of, and they should get OVER THIS because it makes me want to KILL THEM DEAD DEAD DEAD. And I think they still recommend me things when I buy them from amazon marketplace, but have never done so when I buy from them themselves, because then I would have to BURN THEM BURN THEM. Indeed.

::joins you in sad angry despair::

I am an icon-hound. Fear my matching-to-the-LJ-situation skillz!

They recommend me rubbish things, rubbish things of rubbish, like the Coldplay album, why would I want that? And things based on things I bought for my uni course, and they are not to know, BUT THEY NEED TO STOP IT, STOP IT NOW!

Of course, the other day, they HAD NO RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ME, which I don't understand really, but I like to think my wishlist had reached a perfect balance of randomness wherein they just DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO OFFER ME, ANYMORE! I like to think they had a team on it. I like to think I'm in presentations now :D

Their pounds of discounts (which postage usually more than makes up for) are NO EXCUSE for their shoddy, shoddy recommendation techniques.

Oh! I hope you are in presentations, that is TRULY beautiful. they never lack ideas for me, because if all else fails they just turn the ENTIRE LIST over to gay manga and know they will trap me, it is cruel but just. Can cruel things be just? I don't know. I have headphones on, it is like being a robot. I can't hear myself typing.

Things can be harsh but fair, and cruel but just is basically just that run through a thesaurus, so I guess so yes, BUT NONE OF THIS APPLIES TO AMAZON, FOR IT SUGGESTS THEY ARE HUMAN AND INTELLIGENT and they are not.

OMG, YOU ARE A BOT! ::nonchalantly tries to get out of this situation alive::

::dances in the lick:: :)

(I have no icons that imply I love people, this is a TERRIBLE CRIME, but this one involves dancing, and hate, so hurrah! (but I do not think you are a bitch))
