I booted up my Wii U last night to start playing Fatal Frame 5, and I have to say I am mostly just really impressed with the Wii U. I'd heard it was HD and so were all the games, coming out just a year before the PS4/Xbox One, but I was still expecting some slightly blurry graphics. But no, it's clean as a whistle. And I have a HD TV now, whereas I think when I played before I was only 'HD Ready', so it looks better than ever. Took no time at all to get into the game, and even into the controls. I really liked the Wii U, and never understood the bad press it got, except that the Gamepad meant developers did have to do more work to port games over to the Wii U than other more standard consoles. But I'm super impressed, and more positive now about playing some older games I got for the Wii U because I was told they were the best editions, ie Arkham City and Asylum, and Deus Ex. HD and the map is in your hands, rather than having to access it through a menu. I might even play Breath of the Wild, after all this time.

They announced the Sims 4 expansion on Tuesday too - technically on Monday, but they showed the trailer on Tuesday. It looks cool and is coming out on November 13th, which is still weeks away but gives me something to play while I'm ignoring the internet after America gets the PS5 and all the launch games on November 12th, and before I actually get to play the PS5 on November 19th.

That's awesome about the Wii U! :D I'd been curious about that console myself (particularly a few titles for it) but never saved up the money to buy one: it sounds like an overall solid gaming console! Haha, if you do play Breath of the Wild, please tell us about it here...I haven't yet and all the talk about it now that Genshin Impact is out has made me even more curious (I am, sadly, a novice when it comes to the Zelda games overall).

Yay for the expansion announcement too and for knowing when you will be actually getting to play the PS5 as well! ♥
