Today the company we work for announced they were putting all offices on a skeleton staff. Not exactly surprising, given that we've heard of a few situations of self-isolation and employee's family members testing positive. We were told it would be about 25-30 people at Leeds, and someone later said they'd be very surprised if it was 30. I got a request for parking at the end of the day, for everyone who'd need it at each site, and we had to give out 16 spaces at Leeds (out of 57 spaces we have), and 3 at Manchester (out of 20 spaces). They also closed the canteen entirely, and sent those workers home. So. Don't know if they still have use for receptionists, just to let couriers in and out, but I'm assuming they'll be telling us we're not needed pretty soon. I'm just going on in and getting paid until I get a text message telling me otherwise. But I only have to get to Thursday evening, and then I have a week and a day of paid leave, and I don't have to worry about it at all. The cleaning manager woman said that our CEOs had definitely said that anyone who stays at home just won't get paid - they'll want us to come in and clean alongside the cleaners, if nothing else. Which I don't think I can do, given my germphobia/OCD. But if I can get through to Thursday evening, I'll have at least half a month's paycheck next payday, and that's something.

I have stockpiled chocolate and coke, in case of getting fed up during isolation. I've bought my mum's mother's day present, and I got a scented candle, so the house can at least be nice if I have to be in it. I even managed to pick up some toilet roll at the Aldi, and I've started a new playthrough of Stardew Valley, if the shops don't stay open long enough to pick up my new Switch and Animal Crossing on Friday. And those are my plans.

I'm still very excited for the Playstation 5 reveal tomorrow.

Having the paid leave coming up sounds like a great time for it, all things considered. It sucks that the people who will be sent home won't be getting paid though.

Stockpiling chocolate and coke sounds like a great plan, and yay for having your mother's day present all picked out too! :D Hopefully you will be able to get your new Switch and Animal Crossing still on Friday, and yay for PS5 news as well! :D

I am glad you have leave coming up! Everyone still seems to be a bit unsure what they should be doing with staff and home working and paying people. Lots of people I know are not sure what they should do and when they will be paid or not paid etc.

You have definitely stockpiled the most important things!
