Reading WIPs is always such a terrible idea.

I do so too! And gah, I am so guilty of working on a ton of WIPs at one time myself. XD

I think working on a ton of WIPs is fine, but I genuinely can't imagine posting something before it's finished. But then, I don't really post stuff at all. Or finish it. So I'm aware that there probably wouldn't be that much fic if we didn't do that. And sometimes even a bit of a WIP that is perfect, or an AU you didn't even think of or know you wanted and now you get to think about it all the time, can be lovely.
