I went to Connotations :)
Yay.
The hotel was a bit rubbish, but that's for another post, and does not detract from the general wonderfulness. I met the people! I got at least two people semi-interested in my fandom of one! Cake was an everyday occurence, and gay porn was randomly distributed! But mostly the people were lovely. And some promised to write me slash! And I contemplated a scary comment here about knowing what they look like now, but probably I should just call them lovely and not threaten them quite yet.
And
fides made me shiny Malcolm in the Middle DVDs, for which I never had a chance to buy her a cider, and feel very guilty about :( And my computer continues to be rubbish and refuse to play them anyway! I can hear them, but I can't see them. But Realplayer is saying useful things about downloading stuff from the internet rather than just 'cannot play file, omg' like before. So hopefully when we get our internet sorted out, that should all be fixed. We're getting a 'Rescue CD' from Wanadoo now. Joy.
But Connotations. There were fandom postcards. And sneaking in to dinner early. And watching of QI and shrieking every time Stephen Fry called him darling. And then I had to come home to my flatmates and explain what squee was and how to properly use it in a sentence. And I did a panel! Although Sarah did most of the talking. But I got to sit in thethrone chair! And people came up and said it was a great panel. Which it so was, being mostly talk about the gay, and the history of the gay in Britain. I used the wrong words sometimes, but omg, I chaired a panel! :D
Probably I will do a proper con report at some point. But I sort of have to catch up on uni at the moment. Real life hardly even compares to Connotations, but I struggle on. (Gay porn 4eva, omg)
