Well, the Beast from the East is here. Mostly I'm worried about the rough sleepers in Leeds. Then I'm annoyed that there's just no way of knowing how bad it's going to be at any point, if my trains might get cancelled, if I should wear my wellies to work in case of worse snow later. It's real pretty though.
I do feel like they should have different terms for different snow flurries. Like 'fluff', 'foam party', 'static', 'snowball fight'. And tell us those so we have a better idea what to expect. Probably a little hard to predict though.
Mum's having counselling downstairs right now. And Social Services have finally set up a Child Protection meeting for this Thursday. My sister is saying "let them put them on Child Protection, and they'll see what happens". So we'll see how that goes.
And it's nearly the end of February, and still no word on the other two games that are supposed to be coming from Playstation 'in the first half of the year'. The problem is that is was only Shuhei Yoshida, the PRESIDENT OF PLAYSTATION, who said that. The actual trailers just said '2018', so they had a lot of leeway. So we weren't technically promised, I guess. They might slip to later in the year, if they need more time to be really 'finished'. Just uuuuuuuggh. Tell us what is going on, Playstation.

Ah, I have been curious about that myself when it comes to gaming news. I suppose the president could have just been really, really optimistic with what he hoped would be the release dates for the titles while the rest of the company remained more "playing it safe" in that category...and I am usually all for being patient and waiting for developers to feel like a game is ready instead of them coming out with a glitch-y, rushed mess so even if a delay announcement is upsetting because it is a for a game I am really looking forward to I will be willing to wait it out--but, yes, I would love to hear some kind of announcement one way or the other in that case regardless just to know what is up. :D Far too many games have slipped into "development hell" or just get quietly pushed to the wayside when companies go completely quiet on them one way or the other, I've noticed...and that is never good. 0_0; Hopefully they will say something about them soon! ♥

Date: 2018-02-27 11:23 pm (UTC)I know that isn't fair, and it's way better for them to take their time, and not just keep stringing us along with little bits of news about games that might not be out for a while yet. Which would probably build expectations to a point where the games could never possibly meet them. But it just gets frustrating when there's nothing. When there were no release dates last E3, I was like 'release dates mean nothing, what would be the point', and when there were no release dates at PSX, I was like 'they're not going to set up expectations when they know there might be delays, they're doing well'. But now we're into 2018 and...what is happening? But then, given that devs have started receiving death threats for announcing a release date and then delaying a game, I can understand why just from their point of view they wouldn't want to give one. So maybe it's our fault. And I'm sure they also know that their exclusives are the big hitters this year, and whenever they want to announce them we'll be there for them. Damn you Sony. You know us too well.
