I have not fixed the issue with my internet. After leaving the computer on standby for a while while I went downstairs to attempt to feel heat again, I came back up and the internet was on the blink again. Just my computer. It says it has no 'valid IP configuration' or something. I've switched it off and on again, again, so we'll see how long it lasts.

Oh, I had something similar happen to my laptop a couple years ago! It came with the wireless built in and, all of a sudden, it would start going out even though the internet at home worked fine and my other devices weren't having problems. I finally had to buy my own wireless adapter for the computer and that seemed to take care of the problem. I don't know what kind of computer you have, but it is apparently a pretty common issue for Lenovo models. I hope you'll get it all sorted out!

I actually have a wired connection - my dad set up something that plugs into the wall, and I can run the internet from his connection downstairs to that. So I don't know what's up with it, unless it's the actual thing that plugs into the wall. My computer is a custom built PC, so I have no idea who to speak to about it, and my dad is at a loss too. I might have to call our internet provider and see if they can figure it out for me, because my internet runs okay when it runs. There's also a chance that the fact my nephew has been here for about two weeks, constantly playing online Minecraft and watching Youtube videos and streams might be doing something to our bandwidth. But I don't know enough about internet connections to know if that's plausible, unfortunately.
