Well, this post was going to be about how things did actually go quite smoothly at work today, my manager did not do the evening thing, but the woman who's technically in charge of the car park listened to a lot of what I had to say, and I feel like we really sorted things out and I know what I'm doing with it now. Except for the car park at the other building, with 9 spaces, but that's going to be difficult no matter what we do.

But then I had a pretty serious upset stomach tonight, and then I rescued a kitten.

I was out, having just spent a long time in the bathroom, quickly changing the water I put out for the hedgehogs, and I went to put the bowl back down, and there was just a black and white cat there, round the side of the house where I put the food out, by the bushes. I was a little surprised, but it didn't seem scared of me, just a little nervous, and it didn't run away. It wasn't a tiny kitten, but it wasn't a full-grown cat either, and it's eyes looked really rheumy. I backed out a little bit, and got it to follow me, and gave it a bit of a stroke. And then it started following me, whenever I took a step back. So I knocked on the window for my dad, and he came out, and we decided to try to get it in a cat carrier my dad has and call the RSPCA. It got a little nervous when the cat carrier came out and we tried to get it, but I followed it across the garden a bit, and managed to pick it up, and it didn't fight me or anything. It did give me a little bite before that, but it didn't break the skin, so it didn't seem particularly violent. Just a sad little kitten on it's own.

Anyway, we brought it inside and called the RSPCA, and they said they couldn't send anyone out now as it's too late, but just to put it somewhere dark and quiet, and give it some food and water. Luckily I have cat food to hand, and it tried to eat the bowl when I put it in there, so it must have been so hungry. And now it's just downstairs in our little bathroom, and the RSPCA are going to send someone round to pick it up tomorrow. We're going to have to tell my mum about it when she gets in from work tonight. And yeah. Just sudden kitten rescue. Exciting.

Apart from the upset stomach, seems like a pretty good day.

Orz, I'm sorry about your stomach...but, yay for the kitten rescuing and for being able to get a grasp on your work situation. ♥
