girlofpreyI just switched my computer back on from standby, and it opened on a lovely screensaver of a forest stream. And over the top of this lovely, calming screen, there were the words "Start earning reward points now". Or possibly there was a pun in there about letting them 'flow'. And beneath it near the bottom of the screen were the words "buy Xbox gift cards now".
Get lost Microsoft. You suck. And I'm aware that Sony will probably start sucking soon, but for now they aren't, and Microsoft can get lost.
There are rumours going around again about a Superman game being announced soon - there a company that made a string of very successful Batman games, and in the last one (which they said was the last of the series) there were apparently a bunch of references to Superman, and so there were rumours the company would start on a Superman game next, and this year Injustice 2 was released, which is a fighting game starring a bunch of characters from the DC universe, and the company that made it posted a picture of a cake the Batman games people had sent them in congratulations, which was shaped like the Superman S. And it is so close I can almost taste it, and I'm aware how ridiculous it is to be so overwhelmed by a game that doesn't even necessarily exist, but I love Superman, and I love video games, and I want them both. Last week, someone on 4chan apparently said the cover of the next Game Informer (a magazine I think, I don't know enough about anything really?) was going to be an announcement of the Superman game, and I just aaaaaaaarrrhhhh. There have been so many leaks before that have come to nothing, but I feel like that cake was basically just confirmation, they knew the rumours that were going around about what they were working on, they knew what people would think if they saw the cake, this theory is very cake-based but it is an important cake. And I just want them to announce it so I can know it's coming, and stop feeling like maybe I'm actually crazy, and all the references and cake mean nothing, there is no game, it's not coming. I just want them to announce it, I hope they announce it, every moment they don't announce it feels years long. There's also a chance that now this leak has come out, if they were going to announce it, they will delay the announcement until a time when it can take people by surprise. Although if it's a magazine's next cover, and presumably a big feature in the magazine, that will probably be trickier. I don't know. I just want them to announce it. I will know about that at least by the end of the week, when there's a good chance they won't have announced it, and the game doesn't exist and isn't coming. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrhhhhhhh.
