After last night's episode, I was thinking back on classic David moments and all the ways Callum doesn't appreciate David. Moments such as the one where David threw peanuts at his mother and it was the most terrifying thing he ever did, and when he and Graeme were talking about how they ran rings around the adults, but one day they'd be old and their grandkids would be running rings around them, and David said "not my grandkids" and it was the most David thing he ever said. "How can I update my facebook with a receipt?", "I took you in, I gave you crisps!", "Are you crazy?"/"Yeah I am, are you?", and so on.
And then I remembered the time David was literally about to kill himself because Kylie had slept with Nick and Lily might not be his, and he was stood at the top of the cliff about to do it, and then Max called him and asked him if everything was okay, and if he'd play football with him when he got back, and David realised there were still things to live for and he was a dad, and it's just made the whole losing Max, "he's not really your son" thing even more poignant.
