girlofpreyHow did the Secret Circle ever get cancelled? How? It's amazing. They can't go one episode without bringing a whole new faction into the equation, and all the witches are fabulously nuts. The witch-hunters are all ex-catalogue models, I think, from the way they all pose moodily in woods. And Diana's grandmother - a supposed good witch - just came in, offered to help Cassie, tried to kill her, then told her son she was only 'testing' Cassie, that she knew he was evil and murdering people, and then left town again. SHIT'S AMAZING. CUT TO FAYE SMASHING THINGS UP IN THE GARAGE OF A FAKE (WHITE) WITCH DOCTOR, WHO ACTUALLY TURNED OUT TO KNOW REAL WITCHES, AND OFFERED TO HELP FAYE GET HER INDIVIDUAL POWERS BACK AND ALSO MAKE OUT WITH HER. Incroyable.
I hope the other child of John Blackwell turns out to be Adam. Faye would be the obvious choice, but it seems a little too obvious. I hope it's not Melissa, because she's the only non-white witch in the Circle and they already had her possessed by a demon for an episode, and sort of write her as Faye's sidekick/Nick's girlfriend more than anything. I don't think the witch-hunters would tell Jake if it was him, and if they make it Diana and that's part of the whole Cassie-Adam-Diana thing that would be a bit weird. So I hope it's Adam. I guess secretly, behind Ethan's back, for him to still be telling Cassie and everyone that she and Adam are 'destined to be' because of their families. Although how the witch-hunters would know eludes me - but then I don't understand how they know about it at all when they didn't even know about Cassie being from that line until an episode ago. And she went around telling people her dad was John Blackwell.
I just think it would be amazing if the 'connection' drawing Cassie and Adam together turned out to be because they're both super-powerful witches with dark magic, and brother and sister. Leaving Ethan to fall apart a bit, and be the only one left to marry Cassie if their families are truly meant to be. I'm very invested in Ethan given that he's barely in it and is kind of a cunt. Damn you Roy Earle. ALL I WANT IS FOR HIM TO TALK SADLY TO CASSIE ABOUT HER MOTHER AGAIN, AND HER JERK/EVIL FATHER. And to get his powers back because of Charles and Dawn's conniving, when he absolutely doesn't want them. OR FOR BLACKWELL TO RETURN FROM THE DEAD AND BE LIKE, "GUESS WHAT ETHAN? I NEED A CIRCLE AGAIN".
The Secret Circle is very different from the books, but I'm enjoying it very much despite or because of that. I don't think the books were very TV-y. This is very TV-y.
And I've just started a new computer game where the main villain started off by ranting about the protagonist's "pretty boy face". Ahhh, video games.
