Random findings

I randomly found a file practically filled with random bits of slash I wrote when I was 18, while I was tidying last night. Some people find their old class photographs, I find my old gay porn :D. Most of it was for American Gothic, a very good show which was inexplicably cancelled after Season 1, and which inexplicably still has no DVD, or video, ten years later. It's all very inexplicable.
I also found a picture of a tomato and two bananas I drew for Art, which I was proud of because it looked like an apple and two bananas. But my old slash. It's nice. I had no idea I was so prolific then. Some of it was hilariously wrong, which brought on the usualhallucinations images of the two characters themselves reading over my shoulder and going 'what the fuck?'. Which is nice, because then they could have sudden-common-ground figment!sex. Anyway. Some of it was actually pretty good. None of it was finished, unfortunately. I do not win at stamina. Or attention span. But it was nice to reminisce. Perhaps one day I'll pass it on to my children...and scare them. :)
Also watched Sugar Rush, after all my tidying only served to make my bedroom look as messy as it did before (no-one told me DVD boxsets do not fit into DVD holders. And precisely how do I deal with the pile of clothing I don't recognise that Katie says are only 'sort of' hers? Hmph). But Sugar Rush. Both episodes. And sadly, while I enjoyed the Sugar/Kim kiss, for Kim's sake mostly, I seemed to want to ship Kim/creepy French guy much more. Sigh. They don't have to run away and live together. Just have disaffected, perhaps-angry-at-the-world-if-they-could-be-bothered-about-it type sex on beaches, and discuss what Kim's going to do about Sugar and her ho-mother. Well, I think it would work.
Sigh. This is why I can't be let near bona-fide onscreen lesbians. It's the Spike/Tara all over again, only slightly less OTP-ish. Then again, slash is all about breaking boundaries. So perhaps I'm just being revolutionary. Yay!
It's overcast and cold. Reminds me of my Duke of Ed. No bras hanging from the ceiling this time though. Hmm
