An odd thing in general about Coronation Street that I just thought of tonight:

What does Stella actually do? I mean, I know she runs the pub and is Leanne's mum. But when she first came in, she was Leanne's mum, and got shouted at for a bit. Then she got hit by a car and there was drama around her for a bit. Then she joined in with the Leanne/Peter/Carla triangle thing, slightly. And now she's apparently going to be cheated on by her husband and barmaid/friend. Does she ever actually get storylines of her own? Because it seems mostly like things just happen to her.
