So. Steve's an idiot. David apparently isn't shocked by anything Kylie does. And, at this point, John Stape is probably on ghost!Tony's list. Which can only be a good thing, from where I'm standing.

Seriously though, about Steve. When did he tell social services about him and Becky having bought Max? Does he think he said something else when he was drunk on Sunday and called them? And why tell David, anyway? And why tell David, and discuss it with Lloyd, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BAR? AND NOT FOR THE FIRST TIME. You know, I love Coronation Street, and I love Becky and I really like Steve, but I'm not excatly sure what they're doing with this storyline sometimes.

I still occasionally picture the Becky/David/Tony fantasy AU I had for Coronation Street, to get me through the difficult times. Or the prison AU. Good times.

I really like that David is so happy to have a wife that has just brought him NEW REASONS TO SCHEME AND PLOT AND DO BLACKMAILING. It makes me like Kylie that she is making him happy, even though he is making Becky really unhappy.

Steve is a TOTAL IDIOT. I totally thought about Tony when suddenly John was going to hurt Maria. It's great having a ghost on the street, I don't know why he's not allowed to be real.

I suppose it's nice that he gets new scheming to do, and that he stands by her no matter what she's done, and I suppose it would be a bit out of character for him to be all HORRIFIED that she'd done something underhand/illegal. It's just a shame he is turning his evil plotting ways against Becky. When in an ideal world the opposite would be true. Oh.

I can't really believe Steve. And I know buying a child in the first place is not exactly a brilliant plan, but when this (probably) blows up in his and Becky's faces, he's not really going to have anyone to blame except himself. The worst case scenario I can think of, though, is that selling and buying Max means that neither Becky nor Kylie and David are considered fit to look after him, so no-one gets to keep him. And buying a child is a black mark against Becky and Steve, which means they don't have such a sure case for getting custody of Amy either. Possibly I'm just being pessimistic, though.

I LOVE GHOST!TONY. Protective crazy ghosts are all I really want from Coronation Street at the moment. And it just gives him another reason, if John Stape dies, to keep John's ghost as faaaaaar away from Fiz and Maria as he possibly can. If only they'd let him be real, why won't they let him?
