I thought Lisa's quickstep was really good, and really liked her little leap, but once again by the end of the competition I didn't remember that she had danced. I don't hate Lisa, but I don't feel very engaged with her very often.
Christine and Matthew - I liked them and thought Christine was very good, but I do agree with the judges that she didn't have much attitude in it, which I think I think is good for a cha cha cha. Only from observing other dances on the show, not from any sort of dance knowledge. But still, there didn't seem to be much drive to it. Although she was good. I like how they found a new body part to advise her on.
Also, the judges fought. I wasn't quite sure what was going on there. It 's a bit like when your parents fight. I don't know how Len can say Craig never gives positive comments though when his "Fab-u-lous" is quite famous.
Jodie and Ian - They put things in her hair again. I love it when they put things in her hair. I was quite surprised when Jodie came out and acted jive-y, especially when I thought her jive might be a bit rubbish like her samba. They didn't seem to be doing as much kicking and bouncing as the other couples did, but then we couldn't really see their feet as usual, and the judges didn't seem to mind, and she has been ill. I really enjoyed it. ETA: Just to clarify - I didn't think it was a BRILLIANT jive, but I did really enjoy it.
Tom and Camilla - I didn't think it was that dramatic to be honest. And I did notice his arms looked a bit weird. But it was technically good. A bit fast, I thought, compared to other tangos. Just, as I say, I didn't think it was very dramatic.
Rachel and Vincent - I didn't think it was that brilliant, to be honest. Good, like the other dances. To be fair, I did drop my last piece of pizza down the side of the couch during their dance, so I was a bit distracted, but I still didn't think it was all that great. Four tens. Blimey.
Austin and Erin - I love Austin. There did seem to be big periods when they weren't doing anything, but when they were dancing it was very good. I quite loved it, really.
Craig had to hold Arlene down, that was a bit great. I don't know what was up with the judges tonight.
And John and Kristina. At first I didn't care about the John Sergeant thing, and then I sort of did, and now I'm just not that bothered anymore. I do love, having watched Monday's It Takes Two after missing it, that Arlene and Craig said that the last thing they wanted was for John to drop out, and then the next day he did. I do think the judges were a bit annoying with their constant going on about the public vote, but ultimately I'm not that bothered about his going. Kristina, though, is quite, quite lovely. I very much hope she's back next year. And Hayley and Brian.

Date: 2008-11-23 05:28 pm (UTC)I'm prepared for Jodie to go too, even though I love her, but given that she was ill I imagine she might get quite a lot of public votes. I love how Tess kept saying last night to remember to vote because our votes do affect the scores. As if that wasn't VERY CLEAR by now.
I loved your opinions. I thought they were great.

3. I love Jodie and Ian a lot.
4. I didn't actually see the dances properly as every time the music started my niece made me get up and dance. I was quite tired by the end.
