In a bit of crazy crossover madness, I realised a while ago that the first place I ever saw Bryan Dick was in Blackpool, where he played a young DC to a detective played by a Mr David Tennant. Proof if ever we needed it that Jack is not over the Doctor.

I also went to see Jumper yesterday. It's a great film. And not about the exciting adventures of a winter clothes range, as you might think. Their teleporting was way better than Hiro's, I'm sad to say. I could have done with an ending that was slightly less obviously setting up for a sequel (the bit where it was just going to be sort of open was fine), and with the female characters doing a bit more, but on the whole I really enjoyed it. Even if they did pick young actors that looked NOTHING LIKE their older actors. But yes, rah.

The plan for this weekend is mostly to tidy the flat, which does need doing. I'm planning to change the sheets, which is no mean feat when your bed is about 8 ft in the air. But anyway. We shall see. It would be nice to get my chair and the rest of my sofa back.

Mostly however, having recently seen some rather bizarre views on mpreg, I'd like to declare this an mpreg amnesty post. Because mpreg is great, and fandom is rubbish over it. If you've ever written any mpreg, and posted it or didn't post it, you can post it here. Or ever wanted to write any for a fandom. Post snippets or drabbles, or ideas or requests. Anonymously or not, IP logging will be off. It can be anonympreg. Because mpreg? Is great. Pretty much all the time.

The first time he ever threw up on a ship, he knew something was wrong.

Then it was only a matter of watching for other signs, and then eventually, for the other signs. Suddenly rum was more of a comfort to him than it had ever been.

He was halfway through a bottle one night, and throwing it back up, when he finally heard it. A gentle, rushing sort of laughter.

Like mother's milk.

He leaned back against the wall of the cabin. Of course, he'd sort of known.

"Calypso. What have you done?"

Call it a gift, Jack, a parting gift from me.

"A gift or a curse?"

As you were to me.

He closed his eyes, and just leaned back against the solid, rocking wood, braids half-askew over his face.

Give my love to Hector. I can see he's already had yours.

And then the faint, rushing laughter again, and then silence. He raised the rum bottle to his lips again.

If anyone ever threatened the kid, I imagine no power on the earth could stop the stabbing. And he could bring them back trinkets from each of his hauls. Jack would of course probably have to stop with the acrobatic fights and just start shooting the bastards instead, at least for a little while. I do wonder what his father would say about it all though.

I had no idea who Bryan Dick was until Torchwood. Naturally, had to imdb him and found out he was in 'Earthfasts,' which was a show I used to watch religously for, because of Paul Nicholls.

I didn't really notice him until Blood and Chocolate, which is a rather rubbish film for the most part, except for my thinking he was GREAT in Blackpool. Since then he's been in more and more things, and I just love him in all of them. OH HE IS GREAT. I might check out that Earthfasts thing some day. Is he in it much?

I don't know how easy it is to find! because Earthfasts was this kids programme (back in the days of the broom cupboard on BBC). If I remember correctly, he's a very young boy in this! I think he might have been the other main character but I'm totally guessing now. It's been a while

I think an mpreg amnesty fest thing is a lovely idea. I don't have any. I just think it's a lovely idea.

Your bed is flying. That isn't actually normal. YOU ARE SO BLASE. Well done.

No-one said much when Locke started keeping to himself more and more. It wasn't like he'd ever been the most talkative person, and they had other things to worry about. There was a bit of a ruckus when he wanted to stop hunting so much, but there was plenty of boar around and some other people had picked it up a bit by then, so eventually they left it. It wasn't until he started rooting through the other passengers' luggage for clothing and building a new cradle - and staring at the columns of black smoke that still ocassionally rose from the other side of the island - that they started to wonder, though.

Have some on me.

My bed is on legs. It's still GREAT, and quite exciting though.

It sort of EXPLAINS EVERYTHING. I hope it's the ultimate answer. I really do.

Getting the time off at the school was the hardest thing. Convincing the headmaster that his generally fairly healthy son had suddenly come down with an illness that would take at least six months to get over wasn't the easiest thing in the world, but lots of money and being Aaron Echolls generally took care of that. Then he had to make sure his often fairly crowded gates were finally kept clear, and the grounds completely free of intruders. By hiring security staff that could both keep their distance, and be discreet.

He knew what they were thinking. The ones who knew, anyway - Veronica Mars and her hard, hard eyes. That he'd finally done something really bad and had to keep it covered up. Some conversations with the boy himself mostly kept them quiet though. Conversations over the telephone, of course.

Logan was huge and beautiful pregnant, like his mother had been. Still prone to sarcastic comments - maybe more so now - but also sort of quiet, sometimes. Sort of happy, Aaron liked to think. He complained occasionally about not being able to go surfing. But hey, it wasn't like it had been his idea to keep it.

The next thing would be fake adoption paperwork. Film stars adopted kids all the time. No-one would ask too many questions, and he could pay off the ones that did. Logan might roll his eyes, but the money really was going to work for them in this case. And everything was going to be just fine.

Incestuous mpreg did seem like QUITE A GREAT IDEA when it came to me. I seem to have CASUALLY HANDWAVED a number of issues Logan might have, but oh my god, the glory of Logan and Aaron having a baby and just STARING at anyone else who tried to get involved. DUDE.
