Arrested Development, Season 3

I finished Arrested Development. The DVDs came on Wednesday - the day the strike ended, and well done to CD-Wow for that - and I apparently decided to watch it instead of telling anybody about it. But yes. It's finished.

Oh my god. I can't believe there doesn't seem to be any post-series fic where the family tracks Michael down and there is hot sex is Cabot. But y'know, we got quite a bit of canon almost-incest, so there you go. Oh I loved it. I loved so much of it. It's impossible to remember everything. Except maybe Operation Hot Brother.

Michael Bluth and Lucas Buck: THEIR LOVE IS TRUE.





Though Lucas doesn't seem adverse to other Bluth pairings.


Michael is beautiful. Maeby is beautiful. Most of the people in it are beautiful. Justice is swift. Oh.

!!!!! IS IT NOT BRILLIANT? This is the thing where I COMPLETELY FAILED to recognise Lucas Buck and Jen mocked me. But STILL! Oh, I love Arrested Development. I love that Lucas Buck and Michael Bluth are CLEARLY IN LOVE. Michael running away to Cabo is TRAGIC AND WRONG but I am sure he would come back, yes. OH I LOVE ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

Probably Michael got to Cabo (with his father), failed to find any children to round up into building mini sand-developments for him, and immediately said "I've made a huge mistake". Or saw on the news how badly everything, and just couldn't cope anymore and had to go back and rescue them, however badly he thought George Michael shouldn't be near the rest of the family. Maybe he'd leave George Michael in Cabo with George Snr and accidentally forget to go back for him. OH. It's quite nice that he got a holiday. But not for too long.

ON THE OTHER HAND, this is probably EXACTLY the point when Lucas Buck kidnapped him, drugged him and got them both into Dodgeball commentating. Oh, I can't BELIEVE their love! I can't believe they were in both things! I can't believe Lucas wanted to shoot Michael in the head, in true Lucas style. I'd love to find out whether this or the film came first. OH GOD.

And Arrested Development! "In fact he was so devastated, he broke out the old guitar", "They're family, it seems natural that they would be together", "No scar.com", "Maybe you don't have enough RAM to contemplate this, Michael -", "It was part of my ILLUSION!", "Tell your friends about this show", "I just hope he only stays in the coma until the trial is over, after which he wakes up and gets a BIG TOY". I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

"They're family, it seems natural that they'd be together" is SUCH a beautiful moment! Oh, Michael. And yes, clearly he would have to come back because he is INCAPABLE OF LEAVING his family. that is part of the beauty. I love that he ran away, though. As long as he doesn't stay there, it's quite lovely how much he wants to protect George Michael. OH GOD, I LOVE IT A LOT.

Oh, he's so pervaded by the incest without realising it. He did say "Let's let them cope on their own for a little while". I have full faith that he would eventually go back. Though probably not before the rest of them tracked him down and kidnapped him back. OH THEY'RE ALL SO BEAUTIFUL.
