I have decided/realised that most of my problems with 'too many fandoms' could in fact be solved by not going looking for more fandoms. Concentrating on POTC, when it's in my head, instead of running out to get the new copy of Fables. Writing that Neverwhere bunny, instead of going to see what's on TV. And so forth.

However - pop culture tends to whizz past you if you don't keep on eye on it, sadly. And we're coming up on a fairly amazing week of Emmerdale. There will be explosions, and arguments, and deaths. And not of Matt or Carl King, because I have seen pictures of them clutching and crying in the rubble. Omg. I know spoilers. ( The same )

Emmerdale. Matthew had a 'cosy' dinner in the pub with his dad, and they quizzed each other on their love lives. Matt made a jibe about 'not knocking the firstborn' (Jimmy), probably while thinking about how great Carl is in comparison. Then Sadie worried they were going to pull him back in with 'all that testosterone and male bonding'. 'And gay incest', she was clearly thinking. Matthew reassuringly pretended to be straight. It was all quite shiny. And Steph beat up Adam, and Val was there, though she did not threaten to rip off anyone's head and spit in the hole. And Emmerdale is so great. I love it.

I am still vaguely ill, and sick of it (ha-ha). Every third breath becomes a coughing fit. Also my post was too huge for the letterbox, and has to be picked up at a time that is not even vaguely possible! If the same thing happens to my DVDs I shall be Upset. But I have the new Total Film. And Emmerdale! So life is not a COMPLETE DISASTER, I suppose.
