Veronica Mars 2.01 and 2.02

girlofpreyUm. Veronica has gone a bit funny. Sort of self-righteous and grating. And that anger thing doesn't really work so much when you're not being bitched out and hated by everyone in school/town. And she's stopped helping people. Wtf? Although it does go along with my (pre-viewing) theory that as soon as she gets a chance she'll want it to all go back to how it was, popular and happy, before Lily died. As though it never happened. She said 'don't forget me', Veronica! But I give her the benefit of the doubt and hope optimistically that this/the next season will be about her realising this and getting over it. And back to Logan.
But WHAT ARE THEY DOING TO LOGAN, WHY MUST THEY HURT HIM, JUST BECAUSE HE BROKE HER HEADLIGHTS. My God. His mother's dead, his dad killed the girl he loved, he lost his best friend, his girlfriend accused him of rape and murder and shopped him to the cops, his secret biker boyfriend (possibly) tried to have him killed, the whole town hates him, and his girlfriend decided to break up with him over his behaviour rather than...talk about it with him at all. A conversation which ended when her dad threw him up against a wall for being a tad upset about all this. My God. I'm suprised they didn't have to strap him to that bridge to keep him from jumping. At least he's getting some sex now. Poor baby.
I like how he was completely freaked out about Dick and Casey's dad hitting on him. How could he not with Logan working those goggles and ear muffs like that, obviously, but like the poor boy needs another father figure doing that. My theory is pretty much that everyone in town is in love with him, and just can't cope with it, hence all the random abuse. It's nice, though, that Veronica ACTUALLY is. Calling up his hotel room seconds after he left to see who's in there with him. You fool no-one, Veronica! But you made your bed, with the rich creepy stalker in it, so you lie there!

And I so don't care about Jackie's daddy issues (yet), because Logan's are just so the more. I have two shows I can laugh and point at for this reason now! But it has Logan in it, and Veronica is still pretty neat, so it's still far better than most alternatives. Yes.
Connotations is a little over two months away, and this pleases me immensely. Who do I know who's going at this point? Such people who SHAMELESSLY TURN IT DOWN YEAR AFTER YEAR WITH NO RHYME OR REASON need not reply (you know who you are!)

She sucks so much for hiding from connotations but I don't care becuase we get to see you again and eventually I'll organise a big weekend of persuaders pimping and see you then also but connotations is ALMOST NOW OH. Dude. Maybe we stalk tiniago and make big posters about how she sucks and hide behind them and follow her down the street and duck into alley ways and sing songs at her until she LOVES US? I'm not sure how the BIG POSTERS saying how she is evil will win her love but I feel they might. Also we could put Starsky on them. I LOVE HIM SO HARD OH.

Date: 2006-08-05 12:11 pm (UTC)I LOVE LOGAN, SO MUCH, OH. And Veronica is being all 'you're not totally awesome', when he SO IS! She should get back to loving him soon. And they should ride around in her car fighting demons, possibly with Weevil. That would be the BEST SHOW EVER. Indeed.
The posters break her spirit and we can swoop in and mould her to our own desires??? I don't know. I'm willing to try though. Also, SHE HAS NOT YET WATCHED GAY SOULS AND COME TO TELL US HOW MUCH SHE LOVES IT WHY? Our love has had to endure her constant hatred, and now this. Her continued hatred. Sadness.
Other people have not replied to my wonderful post. Do you know who is going to Connotations, other than me and you and Nerdcakes and Cecilia? Does whatho connotate? Do I ask too many questions too early in the year, is that it?
