Last night was quite marvellous, as expected. The Crocus Cafe is quite tiny and kooky and cool, and has Chocolate Biscuit Cake, omg! (yes, it DOES deserve capitals). This was the place of the Chocolate Evening, in case you were wondering. I went with my housemate and had a marvellous time. We made chocolate fruit kebabs and marzipan-filled chocolate dates and chocolate icing for buns and chocolate truffle mix. And yes, much of this was just putting chocolate on things rather than actual baking, but I don't care because chocolate, omg. And it was Divine chocolate also, which is much tasty and Fairtrade, so has moral superiority, mwuhahaha.

Housemate and I discussed many things also, like life, and the pros and cons of having boys in said life, and what we wanted to be when we grew up. Hers was artist. Mine was involves sunglasses and a jeep and a crossbow, and Mexico, and possibly El Chupacabra, but I haven't decided yet. And then we went home with our chocolate hoard and spent the evening swapping musical tastes via CDs and tapes on the living room floor. I seduced her to the Kevin Coyne side, and the 'Worry About You' by Ivy side, and possibly the Interpol and System of a Down side. She showed me the glory of Nina Simone and Bjork and old (or 'classic') Tori Amos. Am reserving judgement on Joni Mitchell though, till I hear more of her stuff. But generally the evening was 'yay', and the yay extends even to this cold and miserable day.

Eeee, and our local independent cinema is showing 'The Chorus' all through March!! Because they know it is fabulous! I almost feel vindicated for bastard Total Film giving it 2 stars (teh fuck?). I know it is marvellous. And the cinema knows it is marvellous. Soon you will all know!!

Eastenders report: it was not on last night. And now that the pretty conflicted gangster boys are somewhat dead, I am starting to lose interest. Ho hum.
