Went to see King Kong again last night. There is not much more deflating than rewatching a film/episode/etc and noting down all the places where your fanfiction went wrong ::sigh:: Also I think I made Jack a lot fiercer and less floppy-haired than he was in the film. Which was sort of the point, but hmm. Characterisation.

He's still awfully pretty though.

Jack should so be a sacrifice. I was fairly convinced of it before, but then last night I got the mental picture of him on the structure, just coming round from unconsciousness perhaps, his arms bound up to the sticks, in his white shirt and dirty white vest, with the crazy necklace round his neck, alternately yanking at his arms, and staring worriedly/confusedly into the jungle, and hssdjfksdhfdfhmn. Anyone who draws this for me would win my undying love. I might request it at one of the comms. Hmm.

Also, the theatre/taxi chase scene is so much better when viewed through slashy, 'male rivalry' goggles than just 'omg, why doesn't he SEE the glory/beauty of Jack?!'. Thank YOU, writings_from.

Final verdict: Jack doesn't kick a raptor, but he does shoulder/shove one under a brontosaurus. He remains king of the jungle.

And perhaps the ultimate random thought:

Me last night: Kong is King...and he sort of makes Ann his Queen...and Jack is Jack...which is fairly close to being a Royal Flush. Which means my (potential) OT3 almost undoubtedly beats all other OT3s! :D

In other news: I have a Kevin from Sin City doll action figure. And my mother is getting me the Land of the Dead DVD from Tesco's, because of a voucher of some kind. But my 'Draco and the Malfoys' CD has still not arrived. I want to wait until all my payments have gone out of my bank account and I've paid off the Nick Cave ticket before I start spending my Christmas money but IT'S NOT HAPPENING SO FAR!
