I do wish that about letting my choices be my choices in decision-making points in certain games too, as I've played a few where my reasoning for picking a certain action ends up being quite a bit different than the reasons that they give me to SAY why I did that end up being.
Hmm, I guess maybe they were trying to go with the idea that just because the non-deviant android isn't sentient ATM...it might always be in the back of people's minds that there is a very strong likelihood they could develop and progress to that point so terminating one would be like ending a potential life before it had the chance to get started? Or they were trying to go for the idea that Connor used to be in said android's shoes so he would maybe have a hard time pulling the trigger as a result? IDK, I have no idea really and it maybe sounds like the game isn't conveying that well or strongly enough if those concepts ARE how it perhaps wants you to view non-deviant androids regardless...though it is interesting that Hank really didn't want Connor to do it given the fact that the other android was non-deviant.
