The post room people are just odd, more than anything. But I expected them to just be odd and not completely unsympathetic. It was weird, but at least I don't have to deal with them all the time. I think we're hoping the solution to the heater is that 'things get warmer', but I know now I can always duck into the office if it gets too cold. The problem was that the big heater didn't just provide heat, it was also really good at blocking the side where cold air blows on you from the lifts - and being on wheels, it was also easy to move out of the way when you needed to. My manager's looking into something that blocks that side, but we'll see.
Yeah, he's really lovely - we have a slight problem communicating anyway because he has a really strong accent, and English isn't his first language, so I don't always get what he's saying the first time, but mostly we have a nice time. But he really believes in going to the gym and going out dancing, and doesn't really get that some people might be happy with different things. I suppose to be fair to him, he doesn't seem to get the whole 'coping with depression' thing and how that might make people act differently. But it's still weird, we've had multiple conversations and he still just laughs at me, and it is getting to be upsetting. After our last conversation, I told him he was going to have to stop calling me a liar. So we'll see if that works.
The dog actually isn't ours, he's my sister's, but we took him on when she couldn't take care of him anymore. We had him for about six months now, and he's mostly been fine, but then - without any of his routine really changing or anything - he does stuff like this. Mum and dad keep trying to do things differently to try to stop it happening, but out of nowhere it still does. We're not really sure what to do at the moment, and aren't sure if it's not just bad habits he picked up at my sister's. Or what.
