I know! It was already ridiculous that he didn't tell Sean about his brother, because...why? After everything they'd already been through, and his own morality, why? But then he was just rubbish. Sean was amazing, genuinely amazing, both in not just running over to Billy to scream hysterically after seeing him and Todd together, and in just being very clear and lovely and confused about Billy not talking to him. And then Billy was just bizarre. And then he lied. Lied about being in love with Todd. Maybe he's just punishing himself for keeping Sarah's secret and letting an innocent (dead) man be accused of murder. So he's just telling himself "I don't love Sean, I love Todd, I must be in love with Todd, I'm THAT bad". Like he doesn't deserve what he actually loves, he has to force something he doesn't love on himself, so he'll suffer. Otherwise I just don't understand it. It would be bad enough, if they were going to have Billy and Todd get closer - and I would hate, but understand, if they just had awkward sexual tension. But love? It doesn't make any sense. It's the stupidest writing decision I've seen them make lately. People complain about other things, but this is by far the worst.
