Haha, I've reached Level 30. Really it was a massive coincidence though. I mean - I'd been looking at Christmas food in M&S, and then scarves and stuff, so it was probably on my mind. But I just happened to see a necklace and bracelet and I thought "oh, they're lovely" - "they'd suit mum" - "they'd be a nice Christmas present" - "...I could buy those now for her Christmas present". It doesn't really make me feel grown up because it was mostly an accident, but I suppose the memory of how stressful Christmas shopping with only a couple of weeks to go is was on my mind. So maybe I am becoming a bit more sensible. And lucky.
I like getting sidequests, because I think they tend to be better for world-building than main story missions. But I do get really stressed sometimes about finishing them all before moving on with the story - and if I find the story more interesting or motivating than the sidequests, that can make it kind of a drag. There's one game in particular where every story mission and sidequest has a ideal player level associated with it, which can affect the level of the reward you get, and I used to get quite obsessed with doing the lowest-levels ones first, finishing with the highest. I've mostly gotten past that idea now. Currently it's collectibles that give me the most trouble, especially if they're level-specific, so you have to play a WHOLE section of the game over again to get them all. I can never quite be bothered to go back and search even more thoroughly than I already did (I'm pretty thorough), and can never quite get over not having got them all. It's annoying.
