People are writing Max/Nux fic, which I really like, but mostly they're writing it so Max can be a daddy to sweet, excitable Nux. Which is perfectly nice, and I like, but it kind of ignores the fact that Max is a huge mess throughout that film and probably wouldn't make a very good Responsible One. Like, I know it is a little weird to ship someone with obvious mental health problems anyway, but the fact that he was all touch-starved and didn't really speak was probably my favourite thing about Max, and the daddy stuff kind of ignores that. Ignores the fact that he would probably need as much looking after as he was capable of dishing out (or more). Plus the fact that literally being called daddy would probably be quite hard for him, when his own daughter died. I wouldn't say no to a fic that actually dealt with that, is the worst part of this situation. It turns out daddy fic that fucks characters up is also something I can get on board with.

A happy thing: one of the Let's Players I like talking about how he 'really misses' the other one I ship him with, in a video the other dude wasn't in.
