I had vague doubts about Snape, but then I had read 'Snape is eeevil!' type posts before, accidentally - we must never forget I am mostly informed by fandom. And then there were the bits were he and Dumbledore were arguing in the woods and he was all hateful to Harry at the end. But then I read lilith_morgana's posts and conversations about him (omg, Friended!), and it all rang much more true and made sense and WAS BEAUTIFUL!! And even before that there were things that did not make sense, and I think Snape is good, and yay :)
IT WAS SO MUCH LIKE SLASHFIC!! I think maybe it WAS secret slashfic - I also noted Remus being sorrowful and in mourning listening to a love song (and now that I think about it he was not not thinking about Tonks, lalala). And then blood, and Harry gasping and falling to his knees beside him in the blood and the water and scrabbling, and it was like the ending of so many H/D angst-fics. Except with a happy ending! Thanks to Snape! ::loves Snape::
