I've been so in and out with it I probably can't comment much, but...sjkdjajk. The bits I have seen. Debbie. Debbie EVER taking Cameron back at all. Debbie LAUGHING AND JOKING with Cameron just days after they killed her cousin, even if she thinks it's accidentally. Why does everyone give such a fuck about Cameron? He's not even that pretty. He's not even that charming.
And then Belle and Paddy the other night. "All children should be with their biological mothers, because I think so", "I'm not a child, I'm 15!". Like, I know Amy's going through something and obviously wants him back but !!!! Shut up Belle! And Paddy, pulling out the "poor unattractive man, so often mistreated by women!" line. After he only got together with Rhona because she left Marlon for him. I was genuinely surprised that they bothered to bring that up later in the episode, but it didn't seem to change his attitude at all. I've always had to sort of roll my eyes at Paddy, but like...if the writing even kept his character the same from one scene to the next, at least I could care. If it could keep ANY of the characters the same from one scene to the next.
I know I am stuck in my ship - still - but if Nathan was around and he and Declan were fighting, at least Declan would be taking things out on someone who sort of deserved it. Or would deserve it, you know what Nathan's like. And could hold his own. Alas, all I ever heard was Lyndon Ogbourne saying something like "something might be cooking with Emmerdale, maybe" on Twitter a few years ago, and nothing ever seemed to come out of that. Unless they're just REALLY good at keeping it under wraps, suddenly. It would be so funny if he came back now though. Like "oh you found a body in the woods and didn't tell anyone, HOW COULD YOU DECLAN?". Amazing.
