Good God. I just looked up gisei_nashi_ni, and ironically I had heard about the Arkh Project and "Riley" and what bullshit it was starting to look like, but no-one ever linked it to dumbthingswhitepplsay that I saw. Like I say, I never really followed dtwps or looked at them much, I just heard that they'd got a notice saying they were going to be shut down (from the Tumblr of the creator of Wet Moon, who I'd heard good things about), and saw a bunch of people saying it was because they were getting racist messages and not being nice about them. So I sent an email, basically just saying to Tumblr that all of this looked bad, and if that's what they'd done then it was bad, and if they had other reasons for wanting to shut down dtwps maybe they should mention or at least allude to them, since they obviously couldn't just say who'd complained and why. But yeah. It's weird, because they do have screencaps of really racist, vile threats, though I guess maybe they could have been faked? But the whole thing is obviously just looking a lot more dodgy now. Again, I didn't really do much about it, just sent an email, but apparently I should maybe do more research on stuff like that before I start sending complaints. A lesson for the future, I guess.
