HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE OBSESSED WITH IT. It's not MUCH of an obsession if he's basically noticed some similarities between a couple of people he knows and some fairytale characters, and then immediately ran off to Boston to find his real mother. He's not even putting the effort in.
I was mostly only interested in the Sheriff when I thought he might be the big bad wolf. In Fables (the fairytale comicbook series) the big bad wolf ended up being the sheriff because having extra senses was quite good for tracking people and gathering evidence and stuff. But the huntsman makes a lot more sense, especially now she's sleeping with him. Also it was just kind of obvious there was going to be a twist, given that we knew him for so long and he seemed nice and we didn't know his backstory. But I agree that the actual twist in the episode wasn't brilliant. Oh, a mystery man in a shower, then a phonecall to the sheriff where you don't get to see where he is on the other end of it. WAY TO SHOCK US, SHOW.
I know, me too. Obviously they had to have a way for Emma to come to Storybrooke without necessarily knowing or believing in the whole fairytales thing, but it still seems like they could have found a better way to do it than Henry. Plus, I get the feeling they're going to do a whole double storyline about how learning to be a hero is the same as/is learning to be a mother, and blahhhhhh. Whatever, Once.
